I mean, what would the law be? I’m against this entirely, but it seems like you may have problems getting this specific. They both think behavioral standards are immoral.
They both believe human beings are simply widgets that can be anything. Libertarians want no behavioral enforcements and leftists want the same minus religious behaviors, which are bigoted and should be outlawed.

I think he's saying that since the nanny state built by the boomers is here to stay, he may as well have people who agree with him politically run it.
