This country will never resemble anything libertarian in its current form. We already have a nanny state. Now that a nanny state has been forced apon me by boomers, I want people who I agree with to take the reigns.

Those are the people who created the nanny state and will never give it up (see: Social Security).

This guy would rather allow his kids to get taught by drag queens than to have a law passed outlawing it.

I mean, what would the law be? I’m against this entirely, but it seems like you may have problems getting this specific. If for instance a kid goes to Disney World and inside the Daisy Duck costume is a biological man instead of a woman (of which everyone else is completely unaware), would that be breaking the law, because I don’t see that one as a very big deal?

He's supporting people who will helped build that nanny state and won't give it up and thwart any attempt to even modify it.

The libertarian party is more inline with the left.

Trump nailed them with the "You're 3%" because it was (and is) true.

3% seems generous for this clown show.

I’d venture to guess 90% of the 3% are accidental votes or simply blind protest votes who have no Libertarian affiliation

Leftists want NO legislation on their LGBTQ sex parties in public spaces.

They want ALL legislation of any religious anything. A cross in a public space...HERESY AGAINST THE PROGRESSIVE CHURCH.

Libertarians hate religious people as much as progressive commies.

They both think behavioral standards are immoral.

They both believe human beings are simply widgets that can be anything. Libertarians want no behavioral enforcements and leftists want the same minus religious behaviors, which are bigoted and should be outlawed.

I think he's saying that since the nanny state built by the boomers is here to stay, he may as well have people who agree with him politically run it.

Hard to argue with that, otherwise we get what I said earlier: Libertarian freedoms with socialized consequences.

But, on a rhetorical level, I know supporting government stepping in there means that when those drag queen types get in power, I have to support their government intrusion into my life, and frick all that.

True. But they are going to do what they do regardless.

What’s the specific law that you propose to stop it? I’m fully against it, but I don’t see the specific law you’d put on the books for it.

So you don't think Leftists will use the same "mentally ill parents" excuse for similar ideological issues? Political associations? Religion? Schools?

You are comparing mutilation of children with what? What is your straw issue here? Explain what you think Leftists will do if laws are passed to prevent mentally ill parents from mutilating children.

I believe in freedom and parental rights.

bullshite. You believe drag queen happy hour and child mutilation at the hands of mentally ill parents.

If the LP “live and let live” mantra includes acquiescence and apparently acceptance of the western global/corporate driven leftist social bullshite of the past approximate couple of decades, then that’s not my idea of what “liberty” stood for.

Let em continue to sit over there in the corner thinking they are principled and different.
