You're not wrong though. I have infinitely more grace for my daughter than I've ever summoned up for some rando making waves on the internet.

Regarding “you’re not wrong”, I’m not even arguing that we should. It is an honest question that I’m asking myself, too.

In theory, it sounds to me like we should. And I try to have patience for others with whom I disagree. But I’m not even sure I can do what I question; at least not consistently.

I think the stranger thing is a big part of it.

I know my daughter as a whole person, not just her opinion of the moment. When we see snapshots of people on the internet, that's literally the only facet we see- so that's what we judge by.

On the other hand- people *really* like putting those singular, polarizing facets of themselves out there...

because they have zero common sense, and are a major part of the movement that is literally destroying this country. They either don't understand what the democratic party has turned into, and where it is headed, or either they 100 support communism. There is not other alternative.
