Unless you know one HELL of a lot more about the back story, this is not cool ... at all.

Two streets are a block apart. One is named 115th St. The other is named 115th Terrace. The kid's brothers were at a house on 115th Terrace. He went to the address on 115th St.

You think that mistake, by a 16y/o, at night, warrants your OP?

as of now - in this thread - there is not enough reliable information to be outraged or not = in either direction.

And it would take a LOT more information to actually come up with a rational gauge on just how bad the action was on the scale of

total outrage <- - - - -> justified action

any body making allegations in either direction on this bare bones set of data is not justified - UNLESS they present something more persuasive than what is available in this thread.

The sad thing is that it is a tragedy - regardless of what the actual details turn out to be.

there is no "good" here.

Embarrassing. They weren’t in their home. They chased someone for whom they had no direct knowledge of a crime and tried to illegally detain him.

They’re in jail for a reason.

He’s already been released from the hospital, so we’ll get to hear his side of the story. Pretty damn amazing to be out of the hospital after only a few days after a gunshot wound to the head

Arbery was murdered and the dudes that did it deserved to go to jail.

But he was also not a fricking jogger, and that kind of dishonesty taints the whole story.

Because one obvious lie makes people think the rest of the story is bullshite.

I wonder how much he actually remembers.

So you’re trying to shite on what looks like an innocent kid just trying to go pick up his brothers? Do you shoot random Amazon or mail delivery people you don’t know when they ring your doorbell? No you don’t. Cause you’re not a moron….hopefully.

Did he ring the doorbell or enter the house? Big difference.

Some stranger enters my house unannounced at night, they are getting shot.

I never said it was justified. The whole line of “he was just a jogger” was horseshite and you know it. There’s video of him trespassing at a construction site. Again, that doesn’t warrant what was done to him. The point is that they are intentionally using race-baiting narratives that are flat out false.

It doesn't matter.

Your hero Ben Crump has been assigned to bait him into saying whatever fits the narrative.

that is a lot different from "being shot for ringing the door bell".

Well they charged the homeowner with two felonies

LINK

quote:

The homeowner who allegedly shot a black teen after he mistakenly rang his doorbell in Kansas City was hit with two felony counts on Monday as prosecutors said he could spend the rest of his life in jail.

Andrew D. Lester, 85, was charged with assault in the first degree and armed criminal action for the shooting of 16-year-old Ralph Yarl in a crime that had a “racial component,” according to the Clay County Prosecutor Office.

Lester was not immediately arrested on Monday evening. A bond of $200,000 was set for the suspect.

Lester shot Yarl twice — once in the head and once in arm — after the teen mistakenly arrived on his doorstep to pick up his younger brothers who were actually waiting for him at a home about a block away.

The charges carry 10 to 30 years behind bars, or life in prison, prosecutors said.

Clay County Prosecutor Zachary Thompson said there was “a racial component” to the case, but didn’t elaborate.

Lester, who is white, exchanged no words with the teen before allegedly shooting him with a 32-caliber revolver Thursday night.

There were also no witnesses and no footage of the interaction, Thompson said.

The octogenarian is not currently in police custody, but there is a warrant out for his arrest.

I bet you are clinging to the fake story that he was running in hiking boots.

Wasn't he wearing khaki cargo shorts?

His take is almost certainly correct (murder, but Arbery wasn't jogging) - do you really believe he was an avid runner as portrayed?

He ran from the police on multiple occasions. I’m sure he practiced.
