Let me guess, he was just a thirsty jogger who wanted a drink of water….

The headline of the linked article and the text of the tweet certainly don't match. Kind of a critical detail, eh?

On the surface this looks super bad. Those pesky little details will tell the actual story, especially since the homeowner has already been questioned by police and released (and there will be video from the Ring camera).

ETA: Thought there was a Ring camera involved here but didn't see a mention in the article. Apologies if that's an incorrect statement on my part.

Here is the time article.

So you either have an old screen shot of an article that was corrected or a photoshop. Either way you are a dishonest bigot.

ETA: And Auhmad Arbery was murdered, but you still cling to hope that was justified?

It is a sad situation if he really thought his siblings were in the house and playing a joke on him. Right now there's not enough info released to make a sound judgement one way or the other.

You definitely don't enter someone's house unannounced. The young lad found out the hard way it appears.

The only “winners” here are: the media, democrats, and race-baiters.

Weird thing is, it's not an election year. Unless they're using this to distract us from something, I don't know what the protesters' end-game is here.

Ralph Yarl, 16, was sent by his parents to pick up his brothers from a friend's house on 13 April, but went to the wrong address.

So you’re trying to shite on what looks like an innocent kid just trying to go pick up his brothers? Do you shoot random Amazon or mail delivery people you don’t know when they ring your doorbell? No you don’t. Cause you’re not a moron….hopefully.

I’m all for all calling out the bullshite political incidents we get fed, but this doesn’t feel like one of those. Looks like an elderly man, who probably has been brainwashed by all the racist media, got scared when a stranger rang his doorbell late at night.

Until more information comes out, I don’t think this kid had any ill intentions and this was a brutal mistake.

The media will try their best to make this a racist and gun control issue. The media has turned our country so mad where these incidents are massively twisted from the facts. Hate and anger is all people add to these stories. It’s fricking depressing.

I have learned to always wait for the full story to be known before ever jumping to the anger and outrage that the media want us to do. While this may wind up being a legitimately terrible incident ala Tennessee thugs posing as cops and taking out a revenge killing on someone they didn't like, 99% of the time these initial stories don't hold water ala Tennessee thugs posing as cops and taking out a revenge killing on someone they didn't like

the kid entered the house?

that is a lot different from "being shot for ringing the door bell".
