I'm not going to say that the TV station was involved, or wanting that to happen specifically, but does seem that they wanted to set up some situations, using BGM guy, so that they can get some close up coverage of some violence, so they are at least negligent. I don't think they realized how volatile Dolloff really was. I think Dolloff, was hoping that he would get a chance to shoot a righty conservative, before he even left his house that morning.

What I mean to say, and I guess, I didn't get it across very well: They wanted to see some violence, and cover it up close, but not murder. They certainly didn't want their security guard involved in anything, but they didn't realize what a scum bag they had hired. It remains though, that by trying to set up violent confrontations, their negligence led to the results.
It amounts to the same thing, as being involved in a simple robbery, doesn't matter if you thought nobody would get hurt, if somebody ends up getting killed, you are involved in a capital murder.
