Have you seen video that the victim was the instigator? They are both reaching out to each other.
ETA it looks like you edited while I was posting. We don’t know what happened before but a slap isn’t justification to shoot someone, especially when that person seems to be backing away.

My guess, looking at those photos: Fake security scum, tried to act tough and clear the victim out of the area. Victim, bitch slapped and embarrassed fake security scum. Fake security scum retreats a little distance and pulls his pistol and aims at the victim. Victim calls him a little bitch, and tells fake security " You don't have the nuts to pull that trigger", then he sprays pepper spray in the general direction. The victim doesn't realize, that fake security scum, is more of a bitch than a normal soy boy. Fake security scum is outraged that he was bitch slapped and taunted, and loses control of emotions and pulls the trigger, like a vindictive woman scorned. Emotionally triggered homicide. Fake security scum could have easily walked away, but he didn't.

It's hard to make that assumption based on that. Video shows mace guy falling backward several feet after the shot. As quickly as the mace guy walked away from the Black Guns Matter guy to the shooter, the question is why did he walk over there in the first place? Did he see the gun and wanted to spray the guy to keep him from introducing it in to the other conflict? The slap came before the mace so when you put those two things together it's not a very good look for the victim or the shooter. The shooter can claim he was disoriented from the slap and saw the mace guy aiming something at him that he didn't know if it was a gun.
They both look like a couple dumb fricks to me but the mace guy probably more so, regardless of who they support.
The shooter was hired to guard a Denver news journalist. The journalist is the one that has the best pictures but of course if that was a video, the cops took it over and it's not hit the web

What’s more, the security guard almost had to say something. Because the guy is in an argument face to face with a different guy, and leaves to go confront (presumably) the security guard. There’s no one else in that direction besides the guard and the reporter.
