Having done the initial cooldown and startup of 6 10,000 ton liquid ethylene storage, the cost of storage equipment is not very cheap either if you include all of refrigeration equipment for chilling and vapor recovery, flares etc. About 20,000 hp per tank.

LNG import terminals don't store it so much as receive shiploads to vaporize it for pipeline transport. LNG carriers don't recycle either. They use the gas in their engines as it vaporizes. Not even close to your ethylene example which I have not observed in Sea Drift, Texas City or Taft. BTW Texas City isn't there any longer. It's bare ground.

They’ve lasted four years longer than most thought using the wrong strategy.

Loss control nightmare. Vessel post-loading cargo calculations must add the liquid phase and gas phase in each tank and totals must match shore metered figure by less than 0.05%. And remember, temps are in Kelvin as liquefaction of LNG only starts at minus 250F. Too much leeway in the F scale.

Then the gas carrier burns cargo as fuel as it is gasified for intransit cooling and you can wind up with a 4 to 5% loss at arrival discharge port. That means the Mumbai trader in the London office will call you 20 times asking for the same explanation, just waiting for you to mix up your story one time.

I have high confidence in your not observing ethylene tank storage in sea drift , Texas city and taft as a correct observation. They shared a pipeline connected to a salt dome storage site at Napoleanville. How ever the Petrokema site in Saudi Arabia had 2 10,000 ton ethylene storage tanks for export at the marine terminal, the Kuwait site had 2 10000 ton ethylene storage tank, and Malaysia also had ethylene storage. On the import side Puerto Rico had a massive offshore platform for the import of lpg with recovery refrigeration. Your original thought was LNG storage tanks were a somewhat smaller expense. When associated with high volume ship loading / unloading rates it is a substantial investment.

Meanwhile they lose more and more of their country every single day and it's accelerating.

Shouldn't they focus on the actual front a little more?

LPG was exported from Hackberry in the 1980s from salt dome storage without any chillers. The bulk went into ships with pressure tanks and not liquid cargo tanks. The LPG ships for liquid had problems due ethane content within spec of contracts but too high for recycle compressors on ships. The pressure reduction from salt dome storage to ship provided enough cooling if not for ethane content in ship recycle compressors.

Sempra LNG is now located where this Oxy LPG terminal once stood, but with a much greater footprint today

The LNG import terminals were going to pipeline anyway so boil off didn't have to be vaporized, an added cost. No need for recycling boiloff at all. Thus no need for chilling.

Fast reaction, this site won't last long at this rate.

Defense forces attacked Hvardiyske airfield for the fourth time in the last 2 months, - Dnipro Osint

The hit was recorded on the runway, where the Russians probably carry out the accumulation and launch of UAVs directly during launches.

· At 14:00 in the direction of Odesa, strike UAVs were recorded from the direction of occupied Crimea.

· At 16:27, mobile groups were reported to be working at Hvardiyske airfield. The attack lasted for some time and later NASA satellites recorded fires on the territory of the airfield.

The consequences recorded in the pictures may indicate the destruction of Russian UAVs directly during launches.

The pro-Russia crowd is really pushing the $27B deficit number but that's really not all that much for a country currently being invaded IMO

That doesn't look like propaganda at all.

Maybe it happened, maybe it didn't. Point is, you can't believe 90% of what you see online about this war.

Good news as it shows it can be done. How it was done remains the mystery.

Outside of having a spook sitting in the bushes with a SATCOM unit (highly unlikely), they had to have had a real time satellite feed over Russian territory to identify and guide drones to the target. The ICEYE 'people's satellite'? CIA? France? Well, the Ukrainians ain't saying. Let's just hope it continues as there are a lot of launchers remainimng.

As it was an Iskander, it was not one of the six NoRK launchers recently arrived in Voronezh.
