genuinely agree.
We just need a plan for when Russia collapses. Once that happens the floodgates are going to open.
You're a literal meme.

You have supposed decades in the military and you still have to work?
I had a First Sergeant once say that a military pension still meant that you have to work, you just get to choose your own job, and even an officer's retirement can leave you broke if you're not careful or, you know, inflation hits like a MF're. So I choose to continue to study, learn, and write about my profession.
Of course, I didn't say I was retired.....

Meanwhile let's remember that Witkoff and Kuschner have been trying for over a year now to get people to take this government seriously. Which is now and has always been impossible.
Witkoff and Kuschner are distractions so that we don't talk about things like the looting going on, the Epstein files, the ICE murders, and so on. They're pawns; they aren't even the incompetent but empowered negotiators that they think they are, they're just there to keep the attention away from all the real stuff that is happening.

Similar to Croatia.
My son was studying in Graz in the late 90's at Uni Graz. He loved Croatia even then. If you were not at the front there was no danger. His first stop in Europe was at Braunschweig where US students stayed in housing the German students departed the following day. That night was a dinner with a German fraternity. Lots of singing and beer. Their rule was that if you left to go pee or threw up, you had to chug an extra beer.
While in Graz there was a lot of anti "Turk" sentiment among young adult Austrian men, which is what they called any moslem and who were known for wearing Addis sweat suits so easy to spot.

Usually the firehose is spraying in lots of Poli threads, too, arguing in favor of China on things and other weird stances that get very heated and argumentative, so he/they don't seem capable of subtlety.

Still no mention of a significant breakthrough in Siversk.
ISW- still relatively slow

India’s imports of Russian oil have fallen by approximately 28% from their peak levels as new supply sources have entered the market, India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas said at an energy conference on Tuesday.
In an interview with Bloomberg, the minister stated that deliveries declined from about 1.8 million barrels per day to 1.3 million barrels per day and may decrease further. He noted that India is now purchasing oil from 41 countries, compared to 27 previously.
The minister also emphasized that India, the world’s third-largest oil importer, is seeking to expand energy trade with Canada and the United States.
According to Bloomberg, dozens of tankers loaded with Russian oil remain idle at sea after Indian refineries refused to purchase the cargoes. Since August, roughly 60 million barrels of Russian crude have accumulated aboard vessels that have been unable to offload their shipments. The report states that this bottleneck is directly linked to Indian refiners stepping back from Russian oil, leaving the crude stranded offshore without immediate buyers. No timeline has been provided for when the cargoes might be discharged.

The largest project of [Russian corporation] “Norilsk Nickel” in China is on the verge of collapse after the pullout of the Chinese partner
The new Chinese business model - Invite the Russians into a Chinese partnership to modernize and expand the production of the multi-billion dollar complex in China, then afterwards shut everything down, leaving the sanctions-crippled Russians with no options but to lose everything to the Chinese. This is what Putin gets from his BRICS brother.
quote:
The multibillion-dollar project of Norilsk Nickel for the construction of a copper plant in China, which the head of the company Vladimir Potanin announced in 2024, is on the verge of a breakdown.
The Chinese partner decided to withdraw from the project, in which it was planned to build an enterprise with a capacity of 500 thousand tons of copper per year in the port of Fangengang in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Bloomberg reports, citing sources familiar with the situation.
quote:
Due to sanctions, more than 50% of Norilsk Nickel’s sales began to go to Asia. But despite statements about strategic partnership without borders, China sees Russian companies as toxic partners. Banks of China regularly block the payments of Norilsk Nickel, as soon as each new package of sanctions comes out, previously complained Vice-President of “Norilsk Nickel” Anton Berlin.
