America is the world's largest source of natural gas and Biden's gaggle of climate nuts are no longer impeding LNG development. That's a weapon and an opportunity rolled into one.

Think about that. Russia needs one million Indians to replace the losses in the war.

Yet some here believe Russian losses are twenty times less than Ukrainian losses. This defies logic.

Russia’s economy is at risk of cooling down excessively amid a prolonged period of high interest rates and could face challenges returning to a growth path, a top executive at Russia's largest lender, Sberbank, has warned. “There is a danger of the economy overcooling and that we may not be able to come out of this slump, and further growth could be very restrained,” Sberbank First Deputy CEO Alexander Vedyakhin told Reuters on Wednesday.
quote:

He argued that a more meaningful rate cut is needed to stimulate recovery. “An intelligent investor with such an EBITDA margin could undertake new projects. I believe that a rate below 15%, that is, roughly speaking, 12-14%, is already a good level for the economy to start reviving, growing and moving forward,” he said.

"The risk of cooling down excessively" That's Kremlin-speak for, "Bend over and grab your ankles."

Well, here we go, as predicted. This is the first balloon floated to indicate the Kremlin has decided to call off the interest rate dogs and let inflation loose, i.e., start printing Rubles. This will make loan repayment cheaper and keep the owners of the MIC off Putin's back about capital costs. It's really their only option at this point, unless they want to sell Siberia to the Chinese.

But of course purposefully increasing inflation has its downsides too. And they're pretty nasty. Primarily, they're forcing the Russian middle class to pay the debt. Already carrying an official inflation rate of 9.75%, the Russian public will feel the increased pain very quickly if it is boosted to a 15 - 17% range. That plus all the other issues with the present economy.

quote:

Vedyakhin also pointed to what he described as an overvalued ruble. He attributed the currency’s strength to high interest rates, a weakened domestic foreign exchange market, logistical difficulties, payment issues and foreign currency sales from the fiscal reserve.

The Ruble is too strong now due to that 20% official interest rate. Asian carry traders with forex market access are killing it while Russian capital controls don't help either. But they're whistling past the point - a strong currency is bad for export trade in a normal economy. But the sanctions have radically changed the nature of this economy. The strong Ruble is not the reason for the crash in the export markets and notably, a weak Ruble won't change that at all.

But, again... a weak Ruble does substantially cut the cost of loan servicing and repayment for the Russian Finance Ministry. Again, on the backs of the Russian middle class, but since when do they count? Let them vote for the opposition party. Oh... wait.

Trump to send weapons to Ukraine for first time via presidential power, sources tell Reuters

July 10, 2025 11:05 pm

For the first time since returning to office, U.S. President Donald Trump will authorize sending weapons to Kyiv using the Presidential Drawdown Authority, a power frequently employed by his predecessor, signaling a potential shift in his administration's approach to defending Ukraine.

Sources familiar with the decision, who spoke to Reuters on July 10, indicated that Trump's team will identify arms from U.S. stockpiles to be sent to Ukraine, more than three years after Russia's full-scale invasion. One source suggested the value of this aid package could be around $300 million.

President Trump had said earlier this week that the U.S. would send more weapons to Ukraine to assist the country in defending against intensifying Russian advances. While the precise equipment has not yet been decided, sources indicated the package could include defensive Patriot missiles and offensive medium-range rockets, with a decision potentially made during a meeting on Thursday.

Until now, the Trump administration's military aid to Ukraine had only consisted of weapons authorized by former President Joe Biden, a staunch supporter of Kyiv. The Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) allows the president to directly transfer weapons from U.S. military stocks in response to an emergency.

The Pentagon and the White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Most from there does go to Mexico via several pipelines.

The WaHa hub near Kermit TX is the trading hub for West Texas and NM natural gas. It is often NEGATIVE. Much of the time, oil wells PAY for it to be taken away due it comes up with the oil which is what they make money on.

Obviously you don't know shiite about your own state or its economy.

Try harder.

There is a difference between natural gas, NGLs and LPG. What is produced in West and South Texas is wet natural gas not just methane. The Barnett and Haynesville gas shale plays are methane with not enough other components to remove them.

You know ZERO about the business.

Try harder, but I'm not so sure that your brain can distinguish fact from fiction.

They could really use a bunch of those F16's that are being replaced by F35's. Air superiority would negate Russia's man power advantages quickly.

Give the go-ahead for experienced contract pilots and ground crews and it can happen almost as fast as shutting down illegal border jumpers.

No it absolutely does not. This is my day to day which I’ve been directly involved in for over a decade.

Texas Oil & Gas Association

quote:

Estimated Record Natural Gas Flows. Texas produced 27.7 bcf/d of dry natural gas, supplying 11.8 bcf/d to in-state consumers—primarily for industrial use and electricity generation—while exporting 12.5 bcf/d. Exports included 8.6 bcf/d as LNG and 3.9 bcf/d via pipeline to Mexico.

You have absolutely no idea what you speak of.

fricking retard.

Moscow's Lefortovo Court has sanctioned the arrest of former director of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) Sergei Grebennikov on charges of treason. According to the court, the closed session considered the investigator's motion for detention.

“The court granted the investigator’s request for detention,” the court said.

Grebennikov is accused of transferring information constituting a state secret to foreign structures (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Earlier this summer, he was sentenced to seven years in prison for drug trafficking.

Vladimir Kekhman, director of the Moscow Art Theater and artistic director of the Mikhailovsky Theater, was charged with embezzlement, law enforcement sources told Izvestia.

They note that information about the overstatement of estimates for three contracts is being checked, and several more people are being investigated. In the near future, the head of the Moscow Art Theater may choose a measure of restraint, which, according to the source, will not be related to detention.

The threat to Vladimir Kekhman is in the Izvestia article.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump, for the first time since entering office, is reportedly preparing to use presidential power to send an additional arms package, including “Patriot” Surface-to-Air Missiles and Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) Munitions, to Ukraine. This would be the first arms package for Ukraine drafted by President Trump during his second term, with all previous weapons sent this year being part of aid already approved by President Joe Biden.

Any comment from Sec. of Defense Hegseth...? No...?
