If you're going to go this route re: Zelensky it would make more sense that the insistence on continuing the war and unwillingness to make any concessions is more about him making money off of it somehow, and that he is personally not at risk of ever facing any repercussions as a result of anything that happens. If Ukraine were to totally collapse, either via Russian battlefield success or internal strife, he will be whisked away to an EU country and live out his days at a vineyard or something.

I do believe there are those in Ukraine making (illegally) money off of the war. That happens in most wars, it should almost be assumed. Whether Zelensky is one of them, who knows. I don't like the guy but I'm not sure I necessarily believe that myself.

This is what scraping the bottom of the barrel propaganda looks like. Nobody can verify whether it was caused by AA missile, AA bringing down a missile, jamming, or just defect of a missile. Any reasonable person can assume Russian command aren't going to spend 20-30Gs and their air team's time to kill some poor couple and their two children.

Background: Putin is the root cause of all war related death and destruction in Ukraine and russia.

In this instance we have the first hand account of multiple survivors confirming it was two strike drones; not a missile. Two strike drones.

" They said she was supposed to have twins. I heard it buzzing. There was no air traffic control. I heard it going down, it slammed. The windows flew out. I woke up my grandfather, they had just come down - the second flight. They jumped out. The doors were blocked. Everything was on fire," said local resident Valentyna.

Two explosions rang out in the village around 2 a.m., says village head Oksana Chernova.

" We have two direct hits from the "shaheeds": an eight-apartment multi-storey building and a four-apartment building. Behind us is the apartment where the Lesnichenko family died: father, mother and two children. All the houses on both sides of the street were destroyed, all the emergency services are working. They turned up there, so small, but the people were taken away, because they were left completely homeless, everyone was naked, so for now they were settled a little, the neighbors took them away.

Which is exactly what Putin has done in Russia. So many military age Russian men were fleeing Russia in the early days of the war (yes, it's a war) that Putin ordered the Russian borders closed to all men of that age.

Then he instituted more than one "special" conscription of young men, even young men who had completed their obligatory military service. He dragged them back in.

And you ignore that it was Russia who was the invader. Ukraine was the victim of the invasion.

They may not be capable of this since they have had many opportunities too in other cities and have yet to do it.

I guess a cynical view would be that Russia wants Ukraine to invest resources into these areas to continue grinding them down. Given likely Russian attrition rates that seems a) farfetched and b) stupid, but Russia has used those tactics throughout their history so who knows. But yeah, I'd wager that they just can't do it rather than its them playing 4d chess or something.

This guy signed up Sunday and already he’s trying to rival Barron’s firehosing which makes me think Leopold finally got the job.

You think people outside of this little thread on TD don't follow real news and footage coming out of there? Right.

here is no other reason to post that "you know things" about who someone is unless that is what you're implying.
You must be drunk posting again.

I "know" things about Ivan Barron because he has posted so much about his personal life on this board. And that's all I "know" about him. No doxing required.

And, like you, his memory is flawed because he forgets the lies he has posted about himself and then he posts contradictory "facts" about himself.

Like when he posted for months when he first signed up on TigerDroppings that he lives and works in Las Vegas as a ER nurse in a hospital only to post later that he has been unemployed for 5 months before he joined TigerDroppings.

And then he posted who his congressman is who represents a Florida congressional district.

frick off with your drama queen accusations about doxing someone.

Go have another drink, Norm...

Story from the New York Times

'Czechs are tired of helping Ukraine in the war with Russia' – The New York Times writes that the Czech initiative to supply ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is under threat.

'The opposition party ANO promised, after winning the parliamentary elections to be held this week, to shut down the program for the production and purchase of ammunition for Ukraine. And judging by the mood in the country, the party has a good chance of winning. The Ministry of Defense believes that ANO uses promises not to help Ukraine to gain votes. "People are getting tired, and this is being used for political purposes. Still, aid to Ukraine must be supported because it aligns with our national security interests," said Aleš Vítecka, a senior official of the Czech Ministry of Defense.'

The war in Ukraine will be decided on the battlefield because Rubio is not ready to accept Russia's demands' — American political scientist Mearsheimer.

'The possibility of Ukraine becoming a NATO member is absolutely unacceptable for Russia. It is an existential threat. And Russia will not stop until Ukraine and the West are defeated, and until both sides recognize two facts: Ukraine must be a neutral state, Ukraine must be disarmed to a level where it does not pose an offensive threat to Russia. Until the West acknowledges this, all talk of 'generous offers' is meaningless. Rubio is like a ship passing by at night. He and the Russians are simply on different planets. Russia has demands that Rubio is simply not ready to accept. Therefore, the war will be decided on the battlefield. Period. End of story.'"

Buddy, I've read your comments and I'd be amazed if you can dress and feed yourself let alone discern a source.

Terrorizing civilians is part of the old KGB's playbook. It doesn't make military sense because it just gives Ukrainians one more highly charged emotional grudge to settle and has no strategic value.

Come on Leopold, that’s no way to talk to an old man. I can take it, but my care giver gets upset.

I know you’re trying to impress your new supervisor, but lighten up ok?

What type of absurd boomer logic is this? KGB was pretty good at what they did, so why would they do something that has no strategic or military sense.
