Russians drop FAB-250 bomb on Kostiantynivka: five killed – photos

STANISLAV POHORILOV — Thursday, 18 September 2025, 15:33

Russian forces dropped a FAB-250 bomb on a residential area in the town of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast on the morning of 18 September, killing five people.

Source: Donetsk Oblast police on Telegram; Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office on Facebook

Quote from Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office: "On 18 September 2025 at 09:55, Russian forces carried out another airstrike on Kostiantynivka. The enemy used a FAB-250 bomb equipped with a UMPK kit against civilians. Residential buildings came under attack." [A UMPK is a guidance kit for converting unguided bombs into precision-guided munitions – ed.]

Details: Five residents aged between 62 and 74 were killed. Three men and two women were outside when the bomb struck.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched under criminal proceedings for a war crime (Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Key Takeaways The Trump administration reportedly approved its first European-financed foreign military sales to Ukraine through the Prioritized Ukrainian Requirements List (PURL) initiative. Senior Russian officials continue to publicly signal the Kremlin’s unwillingness to engage in negotiations that result in anything less than full Ukrainian capitulation. The Kremlin is using the threat of aggression to try to prevent European states from committing troops to postwar Ukraine as part of Western security guarantees. Senior Kremlin officials, likely with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s approval, pushed Kremlin Deputy Chief of Staff Dmitry Kozak out of his senior Kremlin position following years of disagreement with Putin’s policies about the war in Ukraine. Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) identified the base and commander of Russia’s Rubikon Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies. Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) command and staff military exercises are occurring in Kyrgyzstan from September 17 to 20. Ukrainian forces recently advanced in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area. Russian forces recently advanced near Pokrovsk and in western Zaporizhia Oblast.

Not much going on in the trenches. Thd update is mostly political.

Didn't say that they weren't. 'Hate' is a low T, womanly emotion.

If you "hate" Russia as an American you should also "hate" North Korea. I don't believe for a second people feel that way about North Korea outside of Korea.

Now we wait until one of low T, low IQ Ukraine posters (likely a certain older gentleman) accuses me of excusing Russia's actions while completely missing that I just compared them 1 to 1 to North Korea

I can't speak for anybody else, Vol, but I know that I couldn't have cared less about Russia until they launched a stupid war for no good reason and have all but declared open war on a unilateral world order that not only has led to increasing peace and prosperity for the world but that we, Americans, run.

Honestly - that's it. Not real deep, not real complicated. Don't invade a country for no good reason and I don't resent or even hate you. Bush, Jr. isn't a bad guy but there are people who absolutely 'hate' him for invading Iraq and his handling of Afghanistan and, well, he's earned that hasn't he? Same principle here, only Putin has a long and impressive record of cruelty, so he gets even more hate.

Super easy.

Now, back to Russia falling apart (something else people just don't want to admit). Trump admits Putin has 'let him down'.

Notice specifically that Trump states that 'he's losing more people than he's killing':

I don’t card about what you believe, or any of your nonsense.

I hate N Korea too.

N Korea killed Americans, and they practice every day to kill more. N Korea is a dangerous nation.

Yeah Russia is obviously worse to its neighbors while North Korea is worse to its own populace.

Why is it one explosion instead of continuous cooking off small explosions if ammo storage?

When we were young and dumb we once had a competition to see who would stay around the campfire the longest after throwing a 22 bullet in it.

It took longer than 15 seconds to harmless pop off.

If you were designing an attack on Putin's oil and gas production, what do you think would be more effective?
