I stand corrected.

Key Takeaways Russian President Vladimir Putin oversaw the final day of the Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 joint military exercises on September 16. Ukraine’s ongoing long-range strike campaign targeting critical Russian energy infrastructure continues to degrade Russia’s oil and gasoline markets, likely affecting Russia’s long-term ability to finance its war in Ukraine. Ukraine continues to demonstrate its adeptness at innovating and fielding drones with increasingly sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) technology while maintaining accessible costs, significantly augmenting Ukrainian drone effectiveness. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko continues to rhetorically distance himself from Russia’s recent incursion into Polish airspace in an attempt to obfuscate the fact that Belarus is de facto a cobelligerent in Russia’s war against Ukraine. Russian forces recently advanced near Kupyansk, in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area, and in eastern Zaporizhia Oblast.
Ukraine is apparently nipping at the bear enough to give it problems. The attacks on Russian oil and gas production and distribution is slowly working.
Meanwhile Putin is dressing up like do many Communist dictators have in the past.

This thread went off the rails when it was back on the OT page. I’m still pro Ukraine and believe Russia has to be held accountable for their actions so I hope Ukraine wins but I am tired of the USA bashing. All of Europe cries because we make them pay for weapons to go to Ukraine when they had no weapons stocks to send so wtf are they good for? Europe wants us to send all our military power to Ukraine and they want us to pay for it too. Sorry but frick that shite. It isn't our fault in the U.S. that Europe cut their defense spending and used the money for other things. Europe’s entitlement also unfortunately seems to rubbing off on Ukraine in places as well. You’d think they would be grateful for what they already have but no, some shite on the U.S. then whine when they don’t get new toys. Trump was right to make Europe pay and to also add 10%. The White House is no longer occupied by a corpse!

Perhaps, they should add vodka to the list of essential targets.

I hope they are fricked. Putin deserves to watch his dictatorship fall to pieces. Almost 4 years in though both sides are just hitting their heads against a brick wall. There’s a 20 km no mans land where anything that drives or moves is destroyed almost immediately by FPV drones. I saw a Ukrainian Mi-24 attack helicopter with a camera on one of the pylons and as the helicopter skimmed a green field that looked like it had a glittering spiderweb canvasing it which was all the tiny fiber optic cables from drones that had crossed the field from both sides.

I have felt the same way about the NATO leeches since living abroad in 2007. Untitled, ungrateful, narcissistic a-hole are European when ut comes to USA providing security and them criticizing everything American.

Two old Bush/Cheney neocon keyboard warriors that are stuck in the cold war. Whose hatred is so great that they join forces with a trans/illegal alien loving leftist in their delusion.
So sad. No principles. Mitt Romney like.
One so out of touch with reality that he would argue with a stop sign while the other babbles about some old dead friend from 25 years ago.

'Massive explosion' reported as Ukraine strikes Russian oil facilities in Bashkortostan, Volgograd Oblast
September 18, 2025 12:16 pm
Ukrainian drones struck the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat petrochemical plant in Russia’s Bashkortostan Republic on Sept. 18, according to local authorities and the Kyiv Independent's source in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
Separately, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces also reported a strike against an oil refinery in Russia’s Volgograd Oblast overnight on Sept. 18.
Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is one of Russia’s largest oil refining and petrochemical plants. It is based in the Bashkortostan Republic, some 1,300 kilometers (800 miles) from the front line in Ukraine.
Long-range SBU drones struck an ELOU-AVT-4 crude oil processing unit at the center of the facility, triggering a "massive explosion," the SBU source said.
Footage shared by locals on Telegram channels shows a plume of black smoke rising above the facility.
According to the Ukrainian military, Russia's Volograd oil refinery was also hit overnight, forcing the plant to halt operations.
The Volgograd refinery, about 450 kilometers (roughly 300 miles) from the front, plays a key role in supplying fuel to the Russian military, the Special Operations Forces said.
The plant is the largest producer of petroleum products in Russia’s Southern Federal District and processes 15.7 million metric tons of crude oil annually, accounting for 5.6% of the country’s total refining capacity.

I'm not sure about the severity of any damage to the Gazprom Refinery/Petrochemical complex but even a stoppage doesn't help Russia. Several old and worn out units were replaced with new ones since 2001. As a refinery alone. The refinery is WWII era big, modern day, just a medium sized one. The connection with the petrochemical complex does make it more critical than production of motor fuels. My guess is that any olefin units (aka ethylene cracker) production is with naphtha feedstock from the refinery's crude unit(s). This instead of the naphtha being used in motor fuel. There are a lot of downstream petrochemical units with a number of products here. The main unit though is ammonia and downstream products from ammonia.

Its a combo of hatred of Russia (which is fine, that's just a Low T belief system for women at this point if you're an American) and love for Ukraine. Try to get them to say something negative about Ukraine outside of "they aren't going far enough" or "X general is doing a bad job". They won't do it.
