Asset Strip of the Week, this time for everything Volkswagen owns in Russia. We knew it was coming, just didn't know when.
quote:

A bankruptcy procedure has been initiated against Volkswagen AG in Russia, a decision made by a court in Moscow following a claim by the Moscow-based JSC "Kameya".

The procedure applies to the assets of the German corporation located in the Russian Federation.

"Kameya" previously acquired the right to claim 16.9 billion rubles from the Nizhny Novgorod LLC "Automobile Plant "NAZ" (formerly – "Automobile Plant "GAZ").

And who was the 16.9 billion ruble "Nizhny Novgorod LLC "Automobile Plant 'NAZ' "?

quote:

In June 2011, Volkswagen Group Rus and GAZ Group signed a long-term agreement on contract manufacturing at GAZ plant with total investment of €200 million. It is planned to produce Škoda Yeti, the new Volkswagen Jetta and Škoda Octavia.

And who is Moscow-based JSC 'Kameya' "? Do we really need to ask...?

These people rarely make sense.

I think there's just people with an urge to kill someone, they settle on someone and work backwards to make reasons for doing it.

How many "political extremists" live out their lives without killing anybody? The overwhelming majority of them, actually.

The Butler PA shooter was researching both Biden and Trump campaign stops... Trump just came closer.

He was evil, obviously. He was screwed up.

Now what did he engrave on those bullets?

Anyone that would plan and carry out an execution of someone just because he is outspoken about his beliefs is evil. There is no argument.

So 64% of all Ru crude loadings last week took place... within range of the Ukrainian drones. As both Baltic load ports are now at minimum partially disabled, it's not looking good for September going forward.

Very good breakdown of how they try to manipulate financial numbers using inaccurate GDP numbers.

"This nonsense again. Both of these claims are false, but they get recycled every few weeks like bad pub jokes.??

1) Nominal GDP at exchange rates tells you more about the ruble than Russia. On PPP, the IMF has the country at $6.9T in 2024; that's number four worldwide. Which means it's bigger than Japan or Germany and larger than California and Texas combined, let alone Spain and Portugal. This is a better measure of what a state can actually sustain inside its own borders, but it also excludes Russia's huge black economy... so, in reality, the figure is considerably larger.

2) The “no toilets” gag should have been flushed years ago... Rosstat’s 2024 household survey (60,000 homes) found that just 0.4% had no toilet at all. In a country spanning the Arctic to the Caucasus, that’s actually a very good result, considering the remoteness of some dwellings. The myth survives only because people prefer memes to facts and research.

The bottom line is this “Spain + Portugal” trope is a silly punchline and it's intellectually dishonest. Reducing Russia to a barroom gag blinds us to the real issues and those are serious enough without inventing bathroom jokes.

Garbage in, garbage out: keep doing it, and Western policy makers will go on misjudging Russia, just as they have for decades."

Zelenskyy: Russian drone infiltrates Romanian airspace for 50 minutes

KATERYNA TYSHCHENKO — Saturday, 13 September 2025, 20:26

A Russian drone has penetrated Romanian territory about 10 km deep and operated in its airspace for around 50 minutes, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported, citing available data.

Source: Zelenskyy on X (Twitter)

Quote: "Today, Romania scrambled combat aircraft because of a Russian drone in its airspace. According to current data, the drone penetrated about 10 km into Romanian territory and operated in NATO airspace for around 50 minutes.

Also today, Poland responded militarily to the threat of Russian attack drones."

Details: Zelenskyy also added that, according to early reports, Russia had used Belarusian airspace on Saturday 13 September to launch drones into Ukrainian airspace towards Volyn Oblast.

"The Russian military knows exactly where their drones are headed and how long they can operate in the air. Their routes are always calculated. This cannot be a coincidence, a mistake, or the initiative of some lower-level commanders. It is an obvious expansion of the war by Russia – and this is exactly how they act. Small steps at first, and eventually big losses," he emphasised.

Zelenskyy called for preventive action "based on the principle that there are no minor military threats from those who are accustomed to destroying the independence and lives of others".

"Sanctions against Russia are needed. Tariffs against Russian trade are needed. Collective defence is needed – and Ukraine has proposed to its partners the creation of just such a system of protection. Do not wait for dozens of Shaheds and ballistic missiles before finally making decisions," he stressed.

"Nominal GDP at exchange rates"??? So he's telling us the currency exchange rate unadjusted for inflation determines true GDP? Wow, when you cook data this badly you come up with results such as, "Which means it's [Russia's GDP] bigger than Japan or Germany and larger than California and Texas combined, let alone Spain and Portugal."

"Rosstat’s 2024 household survey (60,000 homes) found that just 0.4% had no toilet at all." Rosstat? Really?

Talk about manipulation...

No data is cooked. The World Bank/ IMF are telling you that PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) is way more accurate than GDP because it accounts for currency and what it cost to by things in each Country. Here in America we pay about $8.00 for a hamburger meal now compared to Russia that same Hamburger meal cost $3.00. You must be a special retard to not think Russia has the 4th biggest economy in the World. They have been fighting a War against NATO for 4 years that has poured 300 billion into the War and you think they could sustain that if they had a economy the size of New Jersey

Who said I was excited? Just reporting War Updates. Zelensky and the rest of Europe should take Trump's advice and give up the Territory they already lost to Russia and go about their lives. Realize this was the cost for overthrowing a Democratically elected President in Yanukovych and don't make the same mistake again
