Not her pictures. Those pictures are on Google. Ask the homeowners why their roof was also missing 2 months ago

Then it should be easy for you to provide us with links to the original source images.

How effective were those other so called breakthroughs? Will this be any different?
Will this lead to significant gains?

I doubt it.

One of them led to kicking Ukraine out of Kursk. Do you not consider that effective?

The assessment is accurate. Russia has really FUBARed this summer like we come to expect.

I thought they were still in Kursk. Am I wrong?
Besides I thought it was Russia’s ally NK that tilted the balance of power in Kursk because Russia needed help.

Yes you are wrong. They were kicked out of Kursk in April of 2025. They went from an initial 1,300 square kilometers in August 2024 to being kicked out in April 2025 with no major ground offensives but ongoing cross-border strikes and drone operations.

Margarita Simonyan

As some know, I follow the Russian TV propagandists as closely as I have time to: Simonyan announced a few days ago she has a terrible serious disease and was having surgery. Where she pointed could indicate lung/heart/breast issues.

Her husband Tigran, has been in a comma for almost 9 months. He has chronic heart issues.

Ukraine does in fact of a big toe hold and a little toe hold in two separate parts of Kursk Oblast.

From my readings it does appear that Ukraine controls a small part of Kursk.

Incorrect. Launching small incursions 3 square miles on the border is not controlling anything. They were completely out of Kursk on April 26, 2025 per Grok

"Ukrainian forces launched their incursion into Russia's Kursk Oblast on August 6, 2024, initially capturing significant territory, including the key town of Sudzha. By November 2024, they had lost over 40% of the occupied area. Major retreats began in early March 2025, with Russian forces recapturing Sudzha on March 12 after Ukrainian defenses collapsed around March 8–9. However, Ukrainian units held pockets of territory until late April. On April 26, 2025, Russian General Valery Gerasimov reported to President Vladimir Putin that the last Ukrainian forces had been expelled from the village of Gornal, marking the complete end of the Ukrainian presence in Kursk Oblast. This was confirmed by Russian announcements and international reports"

There you have it! Russia says it, it has got to be true even if independent reports say it’s not.

If you want to marry yourself to that definition, you will not be able to do much tap dancing about the breakthroughs and incursions you post about. Which is true for both sides. The real war is going on well behind both sides of the gray zone.

One thing a lot of people don't get about this war is the massive lines and how generally stretched thin each military is. The gray zone in most places is 3-4-5km wide and in some places 10km wide. Often, breakthroughs and incursions are just a handful of guys that just sneak past the handful of guys on the other side of that AO. These often evaporate within a day. The "lines" have devolved into just a bunch of drone operators hunting small numbers of ground troops and each other. Currently, Russia is doing a lot more of this probing because manpower is less critical for them. They hand a squad or squad- some beans and bullets and send them into the breach for a couple of weeks to a month at a time. They are the only resource that is not down to or below mission critical levels.

Again, the real war is being found well behind the lines.

Hoaah. Nice to know you were in Alcoholics Anonymous, if you had been in the 173rd I was going to be jealous. There is a Pink Panther on TD, but he hasn't been in the thread for a long time.
