Looks like the Kremlin's attempted embargo on Russian economic data has failed to prevent the realities of Putin's war economy from being published by the Russian newspapers. In the immortal words of noted LSU alumnus James Carville, "It's the economy, stupid."

Can't sleep? Nothing like economic data to cure that. Unless it's Russian economic data...
Here's an overlay showing the budget and OFZ bond sales. Thus the spiking nature of the graph.
Here's the REPO growth, which is 'short' term "borrowing" by the Russian Treasury. What actually is happening is that all government sectors and Federal States are ordered to buy these bonds. Then this money is spent on the MIL that benefits these government entities. Then the order to buy more bonds comes in. It's a closed loop that is increasing out of control. Sort of like a flushing toilet.
The money in this loop is being eroded in value faster and faster, thus the big jumps in debt. They're printing money. What does this do to the Russian citizens? Inflation, food shortages and price controls, unpaid salaries, black markets and organized crime on the street level. It's the 1990's all over again. Putin has succeeded in bringing the Russian people back to the glory days of the Soviet Union.
The only source of real capital in the Russian government now is what remains of the National Wealth Fund, or Treasury Reserve. Here's where that is currently -
So... What happens next?

The balance on the treasury accounts at the end of June amounted to 8.245 trillion rubles. This is the lowest monthly maximum in the last six months. The arrow indicates the data as of June 1 - 8020 billion rubles

The maximum at the end of June was 300 billion less than in May. Taking into account the huge placement of OFZ [short term / REPO bonds] in June (600 billion), the budget deficit in June could amount to 900 billion.
Here's an overlay showing the budget and OFZ bond sales. Thus the spiking nature of the graph.

The budget deficit for 5 months amounted to 3.4 trillion rubles. Probably another 900 billion rubles will be added in June.

Russia now fully controls the Luhansk region.
Rapidly advancing in other key areas.
That is why, over the past few pages, the actual war is not discussed. The resident OT propagandists talk about Russias economy and the weekly drone that hits a random tree inside Russia.
Reality is not their strong point.

Face it slava is no longer cool, even kinzinger and graham couldnt get them more money.
And now its sounds like we are following the EU model, promise all sorts of things.....and not deliver.
if the ukranian people take out cargo pants it will help with the negotiations, otherwise they better start those Russian language lessons.

Post on video describing Trump photos with topless Epstein victims.
That video - done by Michael Wolff - came out on June 12. Still no lawsuit filed by Trump, the world's most litigious person.
Look up 'Streisand Effect'. What does this tell us?

The Kremlin has classified all information about the Russian economy. According to a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin, state secrets now include data on Russia's foreign policy, international trade and economic policy, scientific developments, and preparations for possible military mobilization. Those who access this information without permission can face up to eight years in prison.
This should work out according to plan... Seeing that the Russian public is living with the direct effects of 'all information about the Russian economy' every day, they don't need to read it in a newspaper.

MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russia has taken full control of Ukraine's eastern Luhansk region, more than three years after President Vladimir Putin ordered thousands of troops into Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian-backed head of the region told Russian state television. Luhansk, which has an area of 26,700 square km (10,308 square miles), is the first Ukrainian region to fall fully under the established control of Russian forces since Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
After three years and four months Russia finally controls a province per this guy.
quote:
"The territory of the Luhansk People's Republic is fully liberated - 100%," Leonid Pasechnik, who was born in Soviet Ukraine and is now a Russian-installed official cast by Moscow as the head of the "Luhansk People's Republic", told Russian state television.

The whole point is that Russia can grind it out, Ukraine cannot.

8.7 million men of conscription age were in Ukraine prior to the February 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, which dwindled to roughly 5 million by February 2024 due to death and emigration
quote:
Head of Ukrainian military intelligence General Kyrylo Budanov reported on May 14, 2024 that he had used all the reserve units he had available. While 35% of surveyed Ukrainian men not in the army stated they were willing to serve
quote:
Just 12 percent of new Ukrainian recruits are volunteers, according to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in an October 2024 Fox News interview
Ukraine does not have the manpower to go toe to toe with Russia indefinitely. Many of the men left in Ukraine, do not want to fight for Ukraine. Thats why I propose sending back all of the "refugees" who are males of fighting ages. Instead of waving their flags in American cities, they can protect their homeland. Slava right?

In other words you are saying the people of Hungary have to get rid of their elected official that the EU doesn't like or we will kick you out!!
That's very democratic isn't it?
Maybe the Warsaw Pact will reemerge also. After all, those people are just longing for a return to Communism aren't they?

Can Russia and and still come out ahead at the end of the war.
England and France won WWI, but what did they win? Did they come out better than they started? I don’t think so.
Russia has a big manpower advantage, but at the end of the day what are they gaining? Are they better off? Why are they still throwing good men and money into Ukraine?

They will be gaining tens of millions of new citizens, arable farming land, and a shitload of mineral wealth.

If the EU members voted on it, and the majority voted in favor of kicking them out... how would that be non democratic?

They will be gaining millions of citizens who hate them. Who is going to farm all that land or mine for those minerals? Not the hundreds of thousand that were killed or maimed on both sides. Who is going to rebuild Ukraine. China? NK? Iran?
And what was the cost to seize Ukraine, a country that they once controlled?
At the end of the day I seriously doubt Russia will come out significantly ahead.
