Wow, looks like the vast majority of ukranians want to give to Mother Russia what is Mother Russia's and end this..............

56 percent of Ukrainians who would agree to a “compromise” to end Europe’s bloodiest armed conflict since 1945, according to a survey released on Thursday by the Janus Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts and the SOCIS Center for Social and Marketing Research, both Kyiv-based pollsters.
The “compromise” means that Kyiv would have to agree to Russia’s de facto control of almost a fifth of Ukraine’s territory.
Another 16.6 percent of those polled would agree to a freeze along the current front lines, and only 12.8 percent want Kyiv to fight until it wins back all the land Russia has seized since 2014.
I love how you guys cite and link to your sources.
The source for this being a survey done by Al Jazeera, which I'm sure is always considered a trustworthy source on everything around here.

If the EU members voted on it, and the majority voted in favor of kicking them out... how would that be non democratic?
So lets hold that vote here in the US Congress on kicking the Democrat Party out or banning them.
Let the members vote on it. According to you if the majority votes for it and the Democrat Party is banned or kicked out that would be democratic.
No problem.

Dumb analogy, there...
Hungary is a member of the EU.
An actual analogy would be if a member of Congress broke rules... would Congress be able to vote to remove their privileges and eject them?
You can google that scenario and see if it's possible, or has happened.

Reuters: Germany, UK to sign mutual assistance defence pact, reports Politico
It will include a section stating that any strategic threat to one country would represent a threat to the other and the accord is expected to be signed on July 17, it reported, citing two London-based officials.
Although both countries are committed to NATO, the defence agreement highlights a shift among European states, including Germany under Chancellor Friedrich Merz, to work more closely together and rely less on the U.S. under President Donald Trump.

Russia will have to militarily occupy Ukraine, in heavy force, for the rest of all time, and still deal with an insurgency and acts of terrorism
Who is going to be leading this imaginary resistance in perpetuity? The old ladies and the single mothers? The young men who have spent the past 4 years dodging army recruiters?
All the Ukrainian men who are willing to fight are either currently fighting, dead, or wounded. The ones still fighting will be dead, wounded, or captured by the time the fighting is done.
You are severely overestimating their stomach to fight. Once Kyiv falls, what would they be fighting for? They know the world will have left them to their fate, Europe is not about to storm Russia to liberate Ukraine.
You also do not seem to get how punishment by the evil axis is dealt out. In North Korea for instance, they punish out to the 1st cousin. So if someone is thinking about insurgency, are they prepared for their parents, siblings, niece/nephews etc to be collateral damage?

The previous situation that the other guy gave was the EU banning a country from membership.
Not an elected/voting official. So how is my analogy any different than his? Or better yet just vote to kick out a state like California or New York? So I guess you disagree with him also regarding the EU banning or kicking out a member?
I can see if an individual broke the rules/law banning that person. How has Orban broken the rules/law?
Is it you just don't like the way he votes or that he doesn't agree with you?
Hmmmm.
I am sure that you are ok with certain parties and/or politicians being banned or put on government watch lists in Europe.
So lets just label the Democrat Party a security threat like Germany did to the AfD.

Thanks Chicken, it's a good thread that covers possibly the most important event of our lifetimes. Well, other than the 2019 Alabama game that is...

The proper analogy would be kicking California out of the USA

Maybe next time put a bow on your invitation.
But seriously, this thread and the longer one have always been good sources of information when not invaded by bs propaganda.

The HUGE difference is that Hungary's economy is not one of the biggest in the EU, like CA or NY
Hungary's economy is less than Louisiana's economy

So?
What does that have to do with kicking them out?
Ursula and the politiburo don't hate Hungary because of its small economy.

There are rules in both the EU and NATO relating to Democratic principles and corruption. That's where Orban gets into trouble with them.

I'm glad to know you don't oppose banning the Muslim Brotherhood from holding office in the US!

Says the one that votes for a party that has Omar, Tlaib and that Muslim communist in NY in it's ranks. Plus your boy Obama was a huge supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

I would love to see that skank go to the Donbass and liberate those people.
That has about as much chance of going well for her as you manning the trenches in Lithuania.
