With Kiffin as your coach you better get use to it.
Just think about all the hate LSU fans had for him prior, and expect it to be worse.

At most, this may have happened to Lane at Ole Miss once or twice, and probably with a recruit he really wanted. One that really stung him to lose.
This is not a normal thing, and it's being overplayed.
He never should have made the comment.

Yeah, I've pretty much checked out of "college" football but LSU hired a lightning rod. My advice would be to get used to lightning.

Only this board would think it is a controversial statement that black players would be easier to recruit to a team that isn’t named the Rebels
With this guy as a mascot
I’m not even talking about whether that SHOULD be the case or not or what is factually true versus fiction.
From the standpoint of maximizing recruiting I have no doubt it’s true.

Yes, we got our mascot from a confederate infantry unit BUT having General William Tecumseh Sherman as the first Superintendent of LSU balances it out.

Did you get this from temu? No one has been selling that since the 80s except fringe sites.
Ole Miss fans still fly it all over the place.

Why is a magazine called “Vanity Fair” ?
Why are there still magazines ?
Why would a football coach give an interview to a magazine called Vanity Fair….?
Sounds like Lane Kiffen should be in Los Angeles…..

If Nick Saban was at Ole Miss, the players would have been there.
It has never been about a flag that has zero to do with slavery unless you are a braindead libtard leftie.
They ditched Col Reb because of Political Correctness, nothing else.
Corporate America has learned they wasted Billions catering to Leftist Stupidity projects that the majority of America give two squirts of piss for..

Been seeing them at tailgates all over the LSU campus, especially since the LSU admin decreed not to do it. I actually think it’s awesome. And Lane Kiffin is a c u n t.

I’ve seen just as many confederate flags at LSU tailgates as Ole Miss tailgates.
LSU fans are fricking broken.

I hate to break it to you but Sherman was against rights for slaves and wasn’t an abolitionist. He was merely a good general nothing more

So what? Neither was Lincoln and it's an understatemnt saying Sheman was just a good General.

Kitten is a POS before anything else. Hell, I might even consider pulling for bama when they play the corn dogs.
Just wait, before LSU goes to Oxford in the fall, Kitten will make statements about being concerned about the “safety of his family”. He is also a pussy.

So he chose instead to coach at "The Ole War Skule"?

Lincoln freed the slaves in the North genius and yes Sherman was nothing more than a “good” general. He wasn’t appointed as a general of the regular infantry until 1864 which was well into the decline of the Confederate Army. He faced a very weakened enemy

He did not need to bring race into that discussion, could have deferred. He chose to though and its not good for the conference. We all are fans of a team but we all need the conference to succeed overall.
Whats going to happen is during the run-up to and pregame shows for OM/LSU game, the sports press is going to bring this up which makes the conf look bad. They don’t care, anything to make a buck and push racial issues. I just cannot believe Lane went down that road. Massive mistake.
I really had no stance on Lane either good or bad prior. But now I do and he’s a garbage person. He used race to grift recruiting and I will never view him the same again. Its unforgivable to me. We need to move on from that and people like Lane just keep taking us backwards not forward.

bullshite, Lane.
Money, for you and for your roster, is why you took the job.
Dude is a narcissist and is just playing narcissist games.
Making excuses for why he did self interested things by blaming the people or things he hurt in the process.
Keep in mind hes talking about the same place he claimed was home and raved about how much he loved while he was there.
Hes not going to change and no one who's ever been around him is surprised at all despite his PR campaign in Oxford.
As long as he wins he'll get away with it in BR. If the wins stop the stories that get hidden will get dropped in the media and that'll be it.
Not that he's at all the only raging narcissist coach in the SEC, he's just the most blatant because he doesn't GAF enough to cover his tracks very well.
