State Police gonna hit up work sites and roust the workers?

Why not, I see no issue with it.

Trump's talking about using the Navy to send them back if need be. Load up a couple of amphib carriers and put them on the beaches by the thousands every day till they realize if they don't deport themselves, they might just end up on the beach in Guyana or some shite they can't control. Do that a few times, arrest some people for hiring them and throw them in prison, and then watch this problem solve itself.

Hope you enjoyed your paid vacation to America but now it's time to GTFO.

Explain to me how I’m a communist for recognizing that you were lied to.
Yep, that's it folks, roadgator caught that state police higher up lying red handed. Guy just goes around lying to close friends and family for the hell of it.

When someone makes such an ignorant, definitive, uninformed statement, they're to be disregarded. It shows a lack of intellect and reasoning, which is standard for a Democrat, which is why I incorrectly assumed. Are you one of the above-the-fray, enlightened, centrists? I'm asking?
quote:

That’s communism in Trump world?
I don't live on this forum, and I'm certainly not in, "Trump world," for whatever that means in this echo chamber. I'm far more extreme in my anti-state and anarcho-capitalism worldview than the standard Republican/Democrat/ Trump shill. I like Trump for one simple reason: even if they don't admit it, all career politicians and bureaucrats hate Trump, and if they, as a collective, hate a man, that's good enough for me, because I hate them. Quite literally.

It just so happens that, based on worldview and political philosophy, the standard 2024 Democrat deserves no respect, dignity or diplomacy. The democrat party circa 2024 is the antithesis to everything I believe in, and I despise a democrat voter* far more than a Republican one. They're not even close, really.

* Key word is "voter," I despise each and every career politician and especially bureaucrat, no matter their political affiliation. They've no redeeming qualities, and each and every one should be put on trial for corruption, insider trading, lawfare, collusion, corporate capture, treason, etc., and if found guilty, be sentenced to hang.

I hope they all get deported and made to get in line legally.
I digress.

I grew up with NOPD and still have cousins on the force there and with JP. The last thing they care about is immigration status.....they have more than enough stimulation from the native born.
Who said anything about New Orleans? You are aware there's a world outside of New Orleans and Louisiana, aren't you?

I'm sure they are worried about more pressing matters in that democrat-run 3rd world shithole. Not everywhere is like that dump, you small-brained imbecile.

Although, the things they supposedly are worried about in lieu of tens of thousands of 3rd world illegal aliens inhabiting their city don't seem to be getting proper attention, either.

Tell the proletariat, oh wise democrat, what is your solution to the problem of tens of millions of 3rd world illegal aliens descending on a borderless country and changing its demographics and culture overnight? What should we do, if anything? What hill are you dying on?

Or he could just be spreading tall tales.

The State has no authority to remove people from the country. Maybe he wants to but alas…

I would tell them to avoid the other paradises in Louisiana and Mississippi before avoiding New Orleans. However, I would tell them if they ever wanted to be a golf pro, then Stark Vegas is for you. Also , this thread was about Louisiana passing a law putting it in the immigration enforcement business and since NOLA is in Louisiana....talking about NOPD and JP cops vis a vis immigration would seem to be of topical import . Please pay attention to the overall topic.....and I thought test scores were going up in the Magnolia State....but maybe not for you.

Fellas, we are on the same side with a difference of opinion. I was simply saying we need a better plan as a group of southern states that are directly impacted. Especially with a progressive government who isn’t going to help.

This quote is exactly what I mean about planning. This is perfect. But it’s federal and depending on DJT. I’m talking about our state government that is going to be responsible if DJT “loses” in November.

Nobody is wrong with the responses. They godda go.

How do you brainiacs seek to enforce this. What processes? Can the police go up to anyone they want and check their immigration/ citizenship status.

Settle down on the pearl-clutching. No one is going door-to-door "checking papers." What this will be will be an additive charge for people found to be here illegally during the course of some other event (a car wreck, for example).

Why not? All they have to do is hit one big chicken plant and the word will spread and the rest will move to a more favorable location…

how about we start locking them up with 10-years manual labor and construction time. have them building new cities across the country. then they can build their own city & country, put up the worlds largest fence and give them a portion along Mexican border in the dessert and never look back.

think about the USA infrastructure, our broke down roads, tunnels and bridges. we get all the labor for free. give contracts to big constitution companies to bid each project out with materials and project management etc…. and them having no labor prices.

think about it, common sense approach and rebuild this country.

I think this looks too close to slavery. And I think it would eventually be that even if it was created with the absolute best of intentions.

Great outside the box thought.

Can we actually get shite done regarding insurance/trial lawyers running good paying jobs to other states/shitty economy/secondary education/state employee bloat before going after nonsense like this? I don’t disagree that there is a problem, but this is a do nothing bill meant to appease idiots.

You cut out all of the extra gravy the govt giving out and it'll force people to go back to work and stop having govt money babies and staying home forcing us to work a lil harder every day paying taxes.

So you want a bunch of cops driving around neighborhoods rousting work sites, demanding papers, taking people into custody for suspicion of being in the country illegally. Let's hit up the Mexican Restaurants.....and Chinese places too. Yeah, you'll scare the patrons but you might bag an illegal or three. Hell, Louisiana cops might even get their rocks off violating an actual citizen or legit Perm Residents Civil Rights all with the primatur and sanction of the Hon.Jeff Landry.

Let me help make this a reality for you. Every day, multiple times a day cops pull over illegals on simple traffic violations. They encounter them on domestic disturbances. You can not jail someone in Louisiana for a traffic offense. You can not jail someone in Louisiana because he and his señorita got a little loud and the neighbor complained.

But now, when a cop pulls over an illegal that has 4 equipment and traffic violations, he would have an arrest able offense to be able to lock this fricker up. Before, they could only write a book of tickets to a person that has no obligation to appear in court.

Locking droves of illegals up and holding them in perpetuity isn’t really practical either.
