Barnes claiming jury selection was poor.
*He's right, but tiresome.
Barnes inferring that the defense team has a rational self interest in a retrial is so disingenuous.

Guess the 30 minutes of police audio is fake?
Idk, I saw the stock photo and assumed it was all fake. Was someone dumb enough to link real evidence of them doing that with a random photo from the internet?

#KyleRittenhouse attorney Mark Richards came into the courtroom to see if anything was going on. I asked him how he was doing. He said worse than I was yesterday and stressed. He was smiling. You can tell they're on edge. Haven't seen much of the prosecutors

It's Gateway Pundit so of course they use poor taste in hyping the audio.
They shoot themselves in the dick continually with the over the top crap. As I recall if you scroll down there is a video player, with the same cover photo, that has the audio.
Saying that, it does say File Photo in pretty big letters.

Guess I'm not following as there is no way Richards would be on the team for a second go.

Rumors are fun, but I can't imagine how anyone could really know this.
I think someone mentioned it above....bailiffs keeping guard at the door to jury room. They can easily hear the discussion inside, and also have to enter to assist with various things throughout, so they get a look at how they've settled in and perhaps "segregated" themselves. Where and how and why it goes from there, there's several scenarios. Could have been approached to be a paid source of inside info, or maybe as simple as a bailiff mentions something to someone who in turn mentions it to someone else, yadda yadda.

MSNBC claims staffer ‘never intended to contact’ Rittenhouse jurors, contradicting judge
NBC News said Thursday that a freelancer “never intended to contact” the Rittenhouse jurors, but did not deny that he may have been following the jury van on Wednesday evening.
"Last night, a freelancer received a traffic citation. While the traffic violation took place near the jury van, the freelancer never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them. We regret the incident and will fully cooperate with the authorities on any investigation," an NBC spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
Judge Bruce Schroeder said Thursday morning that the freelancer, was following the jury van from about a block away at the direction of an MSNBC booking producer when he ran a red light and was pulled over.
"He was ticketed for violating a traffic control signal, he’s not here today from what I’m told and I have instructed that no one from MSNBC News will be permitted in this building for the duration of this trial,” the judge said.
"This is a very serious matter and I don’t know what the ultimate truth of it is but, absolutely, it would go without much thinking that someone who is following the jury bus, that is an extremely serious matter and will be referred to the proper authorities for further action.”

Schroeder made it sound as if the reporter openly disclosed to police that he was following the jurors on behalf of an executive at NBC. They didnt just make that up.

So much wild speculation and conjecture in this thread. Reminds of of Gabbi/Brian thread.

There's a motion in place for dismissal with prejudice over the 5th amendment issue. Now they also have a motion for dismissal without prejudice, which is easier and more likely to be granted. This gives them another cut at the ball.
It feels like another path out for the defense, who might feel after 2 days of deliberation, we could be headed for a guilty verdict.

Yea. He just accidentally ran the red light and it wasn’t to try to keep up with the van. Noooooooo sir.
Especially when these scumbag reporters are going to want them to give interviews and they want to be the first ones. Naahhhhh. He just was a little careless. That’s all.

There's no more significant self-interest with the defense attorney(s) than getting an acquittal. That's the gift that keeps on giving.

This is so clearly a 'dismiss with prejudice ' situation, and it's not even funny.
The Defense are a bunch of limp D's, save for the woman who actually did a good job on the technical stuff regarding the video file. The 2 main guys are pathetic. Show some passion and fight for your damn client.

That speculation could be a million different things and you, nor I, know what the hold up is.

This is the most believable report on the current status of the case that we've seen in two days. Bailiffs aren't texting internet personalities; U.S. Marshal's are not getting the content of jury deliberation. No one knows anything and everyone outside of the jury room is just waiting and stressing.
