“I have been uncharacteristically silent these past ten months,” the letter began. “I had thought that silence would soon be coming to an end, but I’m afraid I must tell you now that fate has decided on a different course for me.”
“However, recent tests have revealed that the cancer has returned,” Krauthammer wrote. “There was no sign of it as recently as a month ago, which means it is aggressive and spreading rapidly. My doctors tell me their best estimate is that I have only a few weeks left to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over.”

Over the years I have disagreed with his writing, sometimes strongly. But you cannot doubt that he was intellectual and consistent in his approaches. His brand of conservatism is disappearing rapidly, replaced by Trump's erratic impulsiveness. The right needs more Krauthammers and George Wills and fewer Trumps.

Man has a Brilliant Mind. Damn shame we didn’t get to hear his thoughts on the current political landscape.

Sad to hear. Didn't always agree with him on everything, but I respected his opinions

He's only 68? I figured he was close to 80. Damn. That really sucks.

And there we have it. The first douche in the thread.

My daughter met him once at a party, and told him that her mother always told her when he was criticizing her boss on Special Report. He smiled and told her, "Well, you should listen to your mother."
He was incredibly frail. But unbelievably brave. Survived a broken neck, paralyzed from the neck down, and had his medical text books projected onto the ceiling of his hospital room ceiling, so he could study.
He graduated from Harvard Medical School, a psychiatrist. How many folks think they could do something like that?

I liked him. This sucks. Cancer sucks.
I wonder how his career would have gone had he expressed, on-air, that he wishes he could poison President Obama? I'm sure the Left would have just given him a pass.

Very anti-Trump. Surprised many aren't wishing for his death on here.

One of the best columnists and tv pundits ever. He's a genius and was funny on tv. The all star panel hasn't been the same without him.

His brand of conservatism was hard earned through life experiences. He was a liberal at one time.
