Part of the premiss of this post is a lie. Canada does not allow people to be be qualified for MAID if you have a singular diagnosis of mental illness.
You must have another condition, like cancer for instance. One can ask to end their life if you have no means to pay for a treatment, as well. Many of these people develope depression or mental illness as a byproduct of their underlying condition. Canada is not killing people just because they have mental illness. By the way I am against anyone who is not an adult to use MAID.
