I mean this seems way worse than the ACB response. Seems like Sotomayor is saying she made her decision strictly based on her opinion of Trump and not the law (and this coming from an extremely liberal Justice).
Also people keep saying she is dumb. Seems like she is not doing this based on her ignorance but her preconceived opinions on what the law should be.

Well there were no specific requirements because ideally the Senate confirmation process is the way to weed out bad or unqualified appointees but these days the Senate is mostly useless and will either rubber stamp whoever or play politics and block an appointee who is qualified because he/she was appointed by a President of the party in the Senate minority

Disagree. I think she knows exactly what she is doing (KBJ) and Sotomayor is calling her out on that. If Rs want to go the impeachment angle, this seems like the winning argument.
