Kentucky AG says he will release grand jury recording in Breonna Taylor case

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R) committed Monday night to releasing a recording of the grand jury proceedings in the Breonna Taylor case.
Cameron said in a statement to The Hill that he plans to release the recording on Wednesday in compliance with a judge’s order, despite concerns about how it could affect the ongoing investigation and have other “unintended consequences.”
His agreement to release the recording comes less than a week after the grand jury indicted one police officer involved in the shooting that resulted in Taylor’s death for endangering her neighbors.
“As the special prosecutor, our team has an ethical obligation not to release the recording from the Grand Jury proceedings, and we stand by our belief that such a release could compromise the ongoing federal investigation and could have unintended consequences such as poisoning the jury pool,” Cameron said in the statement. “Despite these concerns, we will comply with the Judge’s order to release the recording on Wednesday."

The recording will not be good enough. It's never enough. Feelings over facts.

If they name names from the jury, those people should have round the clock protection. Kind of insane

Louisville needs more looting.

The only people who will listen and research are the people who already understand what happened and moved past it.

What if someone recognizes their voice?

Cameron also noted the release of the recording, in addition to the judge's order, will address a Monday court filing from a grand juror who called on him to release the jury’s transcript and records. The anonymous grand juror also requested his fellow jurors be permitted to speak freely about the case in the filing made hours before Cameron’s statement.
Clearly this grand juror hasn't thought this through...

These people are morons. What's the point of this? You can't satisfy lunatics

This is the most chilling part of this decision: Does this open Pandora's box? What about the privacy rights of the other grand jurors? Does alleged public sentiment, as limited as it may be override judicial protocol? Is the release of grand jury information subject to political whims or the sentiment of a judge?
The state attorney general had previously refused to release grand jury proceeding records but faced pressure from lawyers for Taylor’s family, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) and an anonymous grand juror to do so.
“The Grand Jury is meant to be a secretive body,” Cameron's statement said. “It’s apparent that the public interest in this case isn’t going to allow that to happen.”

You posed and answered your own question. There is no point, they're morons.

I'm pretty sure this is unprecedented.
This is as scary as the Feds raiding an attorney's office and confiscating client's confidential files.

It won't matter facts mean nothing to these idiots.

It's truly surreal. If I was one of the jurors I would seek an appeal. Unless all of them approved of this, which, hey...whatever.

This is from the KY rules of criminal procedure
Notice that it requires consent of the person indicted AND (not or) subject to the authority of the Court. What this judge is doing is a violation of the KY Rules of Civil Procedure. If I’m any of those cops indicted, I file an appeal now.
Further
quote:
Subject to the right of a person indicted to procure a transcript or recording as provided by Rule 5.16(3), and subject to the authority of the court at any time to direct otherwise, all persons present during any part of the proceedings of a grand jury shall keep its proceedings and the testimony given before it secret, except that counsel may divulge such information as may be necessary in preparing the case for trial or other disposition.

Grand jury proceedings are secret for four reasons, the U.S. Supreme Court has said: To prevent those under investigation from interfering with witnesses; to encourage witnesses to speak freely; to reduce the chance that a person about to be indicted will flee; and to protect innocent people who may be grand jury targets but are never indicted.

I saw something on twitter yesterday that is circulating that indicates evidence has come out that shows the bullett that hit the officer was from another officer, not Taylor’s BF, and that Breonna was killed in her sleep.
Is that true? I personally do not want to research this not a bit. I know she wasn’t killed in her sleep. That’s a lie. But am curious about this supposed new evidence

No. None of that is true. Officers were shooting .45. The officer got hit with a 9mm.
Breonna was awake even per her boyfriend’s account. She died in the hallway of her apartment. It is likely she was standing in front of her boyfriend.
