Why would you release this before she testifies?
I would think you'd want to avoid her being able to change her testimony to fit his calendar.

I saw comments from the article about who keeps a calendar from 1982 and how meticulous he was. Some people keep stuff. I still have statistics from my little league years and elementary basketball from the mid 80's. Their in a storage box in my parents attic.

My guess - this is a trap and they're more than confident they can shut her down with further evidence. They're trying to show how strong their hand is in an attempt to force the truth or scare her out of testifying altogether.
They're clearly smart people, there's a good reason they did this.
