Question: Why is it they can get a used plane kitted out to be AF1 in a SMALL fraction of the time it takes to get a new one done?

Very good question. I’d wager the new ones are going to have quite a lot “more” than this one does. Since this one is a temporary bridge they probably didn’t go whole hog on it.
Also, Boeing sucks arse these days.
