these ARE some of the top 5%. DEI is illegal in Texas uni admissions now. when you just look at numbers and nothing else, you don't get discretion to pick more white kids.
people don't want to believe this, but DEI helped white kids too, not just the small number of blacks and latinos. it sure as hell helped white women
