What's different about Missouri's map vs Tennessee's? Both redrew the maps to make every district R-heavy.

It has to do with Missouri state law allowing a state referendum for any act passed by the Legislature. Opponents of the redistricting plan got enough signatures to force a referendum but the Missouri Sec. of State and there can be no referendum on redistricting. Missouri Supreme Court disagreed. Tennessee does not have anyhing like that in their Constitution or law.
Kavanaugh practiced good jurisprudence here.

Kav. did not rule anything, he just refused to hear the case without t going through proper channels. So, why would the Mizzou SC wait unto AFTER THE PRIMARIES to vote in this issue? LOL, my guess is one of their stooges lost in the primaries, who knows.
The Fed judge is correct, and Kav will also not overturn this, the SC rarely get ahead of these issues unless its of the utmost importance, and most of the time its an Executive Branch appeal that is head via a very, very bad court ruling.
