Sure, but at one point in time, a group of robed tyrants chose to ignore the Constitution and made their own law out of whole cloth, making child murder the law of the land. A later group actually applied the Constitution and struck down the earlier group’s abomination.

Just like republicans to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

What a dumbass. Trump needs to call his arse out and be clear that he won’t sign it and every congressman should follow suit.

And point out that introducing this bill is undermining his agenda.

I’m all for stopping abortion, even if it’s for 4 years.

Leave it alone, it is a losing issue for the Republicans

I would not call it a losing issue. It's a morality issue, and it appears most of us don't want to touch it.

Looks like an attempt at throwing the midterms to the dems.

The first thing I did was to see who sponsored this

Missouri, come get your man

I'm actually glad to say that this bonehead is not my district.
And I say bonehead, because this was a ballot issue for our state. It sickening passed by a large majority to legalize abortions in the state again. And it is a travesty amendment.
He should know better than this, just from those results.

I have doubts that this makes it out of committee. I'm extremely hopeful that it doesn't. That Republicans are smart enough to see what a sabotage this would be for us.

Well, there goes 2026. What does the House not understand that it belongs with the states?

Yeah, Trump should say he will veto the bill, so don't even try it, and that abortion is a state issue to be decided by each state.

There are always midterms looming. I guess we just consign the helpless to their fates because we're too afraid of electoral challenges?

Republicans are so desperate to lose. Can’t even wait until after the midterms to get back to getting their asses kicked.

The left probably paid him to do it. Too many positives, had to bring up this issue again. Is this guy an establishment guy like Lindsey Graham
