Odd how the more people go out of their way to discredit some things, the more powerful those ideas become.

80% of what you cherry picked, maybe, and that's only if we're generous.

Even then, 80% isn't very good for a "Republican" president who had Congress for half his term.

Did I say I wanted McCain?
Did I say I wanted Romney?

No. I want winners like Ron. Ron turned a swing state into a safe red state.

I want winners like Youngkin, who won with a conservative agenda in a democrat stronghold.

I want winners like Sununu, who won by 15 points while Trump's loser lackey Don Bolduc got his arse handed to him by a liberal democrat.

Tired of losing yet? Trump lost 2022 big. All of his stop the steal candidates were rejected. What does that tell you?

chicken follows politics but he is not political, he wasnt really paying attention to it

CC was way more involved in it as a curator more than anything, he never posted in it

I am telling you guys once again the main purpose of that thread was not validation or even support from TD, it was containment first and foremost.

I wrote this to SFP a few weeks ago

quote:

I am not speaking for site ownership but i can speak to what my role was and what some of the thought process was from an admin POV

quote:
I know that myself, boosie, and at least 1 other poster were given warnings not to challenge the Q bullshite.

MANY were told not to hijack it and to leave it alone because the intent was to flame it for personal amusement or anger.

Which spills out of that thread and floods the PTB and the Help Board with BS from both sides

quote:
I don't think any other topic in my near-20 years had those sorts of rules.

Q had over 5000 posts total on reddit/4chan/8chan, and we would get inundated with

OMG NEW Q DROP!!!!

or even worse a flood of

MY THOUGHTS ON THE NEW Q DROP!!!!

threads after every single Q post if we didnt have a single centralized thread to post them in

Even with a dedicated Q thread we would still see the PTB flooded with new threads every time Q posted something

The Q thread was basically a perpetual scoreboard type of thread on a board. Like the Original ATPB on the SECRANT or the current Ukraine/Russia War thread on the OT.

I dont see anyone questioning the admin protection of that War thread on the OT even though it is a safe space for the Ukraine good, Russia bad collective.

in a much smaller magnitude, the same thing happens everyday with the good morning thread, the lunch thread, the LNST. They have their chat thread, it is contained in one space, hijacking it and flaming in it is managed/prevented and it doesn't get spread out all over the board. Otherwise we would have 25 good morning threads with each OP hosting their own specific chat with their friends in their good morning thread.

quote:
And why was it deleted?

we are in an era where hosting controversial things and being affiliated with radical ideas is bad for site owners and the Q juice was not worth the squeeze.

but frankly nothing Q related has really happened, so what is the point?

chicken told me after the 2020 Election the Q thing seemed like BS and we agreed the big Q thread needed to go so the PTB would move on

the only thing that was permanently nuked was a separate Q Thread on the Election Board. The big Q thread is still preserved on Classics.

there you go

You said you were tired of losing elections and put the blame solely on Trump. I just gave you the GOP presidential candidates for the last 30 years. Every last one of them was your style of candidate and everyone one of them was a loser. Go ahead and hitch your wagon to Ron, the guy the gopE wants. I’m sure if he wins the nomination you’ll find a way to blame Trump when he gets run out of the building like the rest.

Trump just can’t keep his thoughts to himself.

It’s his kryptonite.

You are very disingenuous. Ron is not Romney.
Romney was (and is) weak.

Ron has not shied away from a battle.
Disney
Illegal Immigration
Education
Covid
And so on. Ron has been principled. Contrast with Trump, who now supports Disney and Bud Light.

I know Ron will make sure that Congress passes meaningful reforms. All Trump got passed was a Paul Ryan tax cut. Whoop-de-doo. No draining the swamp. No reining in the alphabet agencies. No investigations of the Clintons, etc.

Trump, first of all, will not get elected, but even if he did, it would be an utterly incompetent administration. You know it and I know it.

I think desantis would have been perfect as Trump’s VP and successor and it is too bad that fell apart

it is weird that reports about Rove/JEB being involved in the desantis campaign came out almost the same time there was an obvious split between DJT and Desantis and sadly Trump went on the offensive

now desantis has to stand alone knowing there are still 74+ million Trump voters out there, I just dont see how he comes out on top unless Trump is out of the picture

This board has become an echo chamber for 5 posters. One of them starts a thread and the other 4(likely alters) all pile in and piggy back. Its rinse and repeat.
Don vs Ron has destroyed this board

Too bad... This is one of the very few political forums on a nonpolitical web site not dominated by the left.

That's what I wanted to happen. I even thought the back and forth was faked early on. Obviously it wasn't.

Well, there is that one dude running around here who keeps saying he's going to do it when he beats Trump. Maybe we've all had it wrong all along.
