I just read the comments he's made... They weren't bad at all. PC douche bags making something out of nothing. If anything, the comments were complimentary.

Great. 2 dudes with zero experience or knowledge of how the state runs running the state. Can't wait.

The "career politicians" trope is certainly true on the federal level. But running a state is a whole different ballgame. It requires a significantly higher understanding of the inner workings from an actual service perspective to be successful. Alabama is already deeply conservative and runs fairly lean and efficiently (where possible). One guy coming in trying to DOGE everything because thats what Trump did with the US govt, and another guy getting in through running on a platform of Nick Saban namedrops doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

Finebaum has zero chance of becoming a Senator from Alabama. Most people here are not fond of him at all. I listened to his show for a few minutes yesterday, and after a couple of calls, I quickly remembered why I don't listen to his show. It's a Sports Jerry Springer Show.

Oh, the show is pure trash and every once in a while when I try to listen I’m immediately reminded why I don’t. But name ID goes a LONG way and he would command a lot more attention than Steve Marshall or Barry Moore. 70% of the state wanted to run Tuberville out of Alabama in 2008 and now he’s a Senator and will be unopposed for Governor, so it’s not hatred in the sports world is not exactly translating.

Finebaum is a very intelligent individual. Tuberville isn't. I don't think he'll be a good governor.

Judging from his terrible tattoos, it looks like he makes bad life choices.

He's honestly the first candidate I'm aware of for this race. Smart of him not to go straight for governor.
