They infer that from looking at severity of cases in vaccinated vs. unvaccinated samplings of people in the same demographic.

Would this comparison include unvaccinated people that were asymptomatic or had such slight symptoms they didn't bother getting tested?

Lost a co worker last week from covid. His wife was having issues to she got tested positive, and he was fatigued so he was going to get a test. Died 2 days later. Sucks.

So he went from getting tested because his wife tested positive and he was feeling fatigued to dying in 2 days?

How do they know it reduces severity? What if that person just doesn't have severe or any symptoms.

Why do you hate science?

The two mRNA vaccines are 90% effective. In that regard, they are actually more effective than most vaccines. They also reduce severity for those infected. But pay no attention to what's happened in Israel and the UK with successful vaccine rollouts and COVID case counts.

I heard this evening that the NY Mets have seven staffers who tested positive after having the J&J shot. All were asymptomatic.

My ex girlfriend’s mother was dead in less than a week, but that was in March or April of last year when we didn’t have many treatments figured out.

I had it this April.

Went from laughing about my inability to taste food to gasping for breath in like 1 day.

I'm 54 and in decent health but this is no joke. I can see how elderly people would succumb.

My O2 dropped below 90 a few times but I refused to tell my wife because I didn't want to end up in the ER with a tube down my throat.

Caught pneumonia and fought that off with antibiotics.

I'm still feeling it today..a solid month later. The headache was the worst followed by waking up in the mornings feeling like I had 50% lung capacity.

I feel like a loser because my wife has someone mowing our yard right now. It's a little over an acre on a hill and I always enjoyed using a self propelled push mower even though it took me 3 solid hours.

Right now mowing my yard would be like climbing Everest.

That sounds rough. We’re about the same age. It’s a dangerous virus. Keep us updated and hope you feel better soon.

What is wrong with us that this is a reply.

My question was answered squid but thanks anyway. Its just something that always seemed an odd reason to get a vaccine. Seemed like an afterthought, just in case you still get it, don't question it. Kind of like you said. Don't question it its science and we're all supposed to get it.

Not really a boondoggle... its pretty much how the fascists planned it.

Probably got it from being in close proximity to people who got the vaccine. We are being lied to on many fronts.

I would love to see your list of Vaccines that are less effective (FYI - flu shot is not a vaccine).

If your mom gets worse tell the Dr to give her Ivermectin. If the Dr says NO, then get another Dr

I agree here. My mother in law is extremely sensitive to any illness. I think she's that way because she's always disinfecting. But she has been taking vitamin D and zinc and had almost no reaction except for being tired for two days. I take 10k mcg vitamin D3 and zinc everyday and if I catch it I'll be getting ivermectin. I trust American Frontline Doctors more than any source as of today. CDC and WHO are good for statistics

Why do people care is someone takes the vaccine or not. If you take the vaccine you are immune and safe, per the vaccine creators. 95% chance of not getting it and then a great chance if you do get it to have minor symptoms. Assuming these things are true. Why are vaccinated people still scared?

I am not pushing or pooping on the covid vaccine but obviously the you do not understand that the vaccine will not prevent you from getting it. It is supposed to make it survivable by persons at risk and lower the public risk so we can all get back to normal business.

I am more concerned about the long term effects of mass vaccinations

I'm not hesitant to admit that the full picture of vaccines in general, and these in particular, are not my scope of even armchair knowledge. I did not get a medical degree from social media, unlike most of Twitter.

That being said, it reinforces the point I made somewhere in the middle of this thread. The vaccines have been "marketed" as the be-all-and-end-all of dealing with COVID. SO many people have insisted that the key to getting back to normal (to the degree they even accept we ever will) hinges on everyone being vaccinated so the risk is zero. I never accepted that, but the media has not done much to educate on the true effects of vaccines on the greater population.

Yeah, we've thrown out over 1000 years of biological science research over "muh feelz" ...

It's nucking futs.

Someone get back to me after Koch's Postulate has been completed on this supposed "novel" virus.

It's all bull-sheet ...
