I’m starting to have doubts and second thoughts about stuff...

Just kidding. I’ve suspected it was a boondoggle for a long time.

If your mom gets worse tell the Dr to give her Ivermectin. If the Dr says NO, then get another Dr.

The two mRNA vaccines are 90% effective. In that regard, they are actually more effective than most vaccines. They also reduce severity for those infected. But pay no attention to what's happened in Israel and the UK with successful vaccine rollouts and COVID case counts.

The fact they are pushing the vaccines so hard should make everyone think about it . Even some of the liberals are scared to get it .

Yeah, I’m overstating it for the jollies. Doc says that probably lessened the impact enough for my uncle to save his life. Big time immunity issues with RA and biologics.

Never let actual facts get in the way of a narrative. Pretty sure I learned that somewhere....

I hear ya. I don't think anyone should be forced to get the vaccine but it's a damn miracle drug. In conjuction with prior infections, it's rendered COVID as irrelevant and feckless as the flu at this point. If we aren't at herd immunity nationally we are damn close. That's great to hear about your uncle by the way.

How are their symptoms? Not severe I hope.

No one has ever claimed that the vaccines are 100% effective. The Moderna and Pfizer dual treatments are about 95% effective, That means out of 20 people who receive the vaccine 19 will be protected and 1 won’t. Weird coincidence that you have three in your family, but the statistics are overwhelming that the vaccines are working as advertised.

Additionally, those who get vaccinated and catch the disease usually have reduced symptoms.

How do they know it reduces severity? What if that person just doesn't have severe or any symptoms. Its the same if its said that it increases severity. Just as true. Ive never understood how they can compare symptoms if the person can't be infected with AND without a vaccine. I've seen this of the flu vaccine. You can't compare reality to a hypothetical.

Of the vastly small minority of people who are vaccinated and end up getting COVID, a surprisingly large number appear to be related to posters on here.

My 74 y/o mother got it. Other than feeling tired, no real symptoms. Got over it pretty quick. My 75 y/o dad got it too. He's ha COPD and has had 3 open heart surgeries. He got supplemental oxygen to use at home because his O2 sats dropped. Theor doctor wouldn't even see them. They just spent two weeks crappie fishing.

Mother in law is HR at a contractor company that works shut downs for large plants saying the same thing. Vaccinated workers are getting covid and they had been encouraging them to get the vaccine to avoid covid downtime. She just got over covid but she's unvaccinated. It's a mystery

Poor phrasing on my part. More like I never regarded this as THE silver bullet. Many other factors helping (herd immunity, etc.) and there were still going to be cases like my family, ie, not 100% effective.

My point is more to push back on the narrative that the vaccines, in and of themselves, are what is going to keep everyone safe.
