Just a hunch, the “AI slowdown” talk isn’t a foreign conspiracy or genuine concern

I think these AI ventures are starting to worry about liquidity and don’t have the money to pay for all their component orders or construction.
A strong stock market is one of the few economic feathers in Trump’s hat so he’s tying himself down to a deadweight issue just to hope that the bubble doesn’t burst before midterms.

AI is a bubble
Stock market is a bubble
Stock market is a bubble

Government could be worried AI will replace it.
Reminds me of this meme, but with AI instead of aliens.

This is the most logical conclusion. China is doing the same kind of research we are.
Does anyone really think that we are going to slow down and give them free reign to develop the tech to bring about skynet?

There is some circular financing with Nvidia and some AI people for sure. At some point it will fail without outside profits.

Let’s just let the Obamas be in total control.

Trump made that happen when he decided to bomb Iran.

Word on the street is 'notice who's wanting the slowdown'....

The rumors going around is that two groups in Alphabet / Google, starting with Deepmind, have archived the holy grail of AI -- Continuous RSI (Recursive Self-Improvement).
If it can train itself, and grow, that would be impressive.

It won't be sentient, but it could resemble it.
On the other hand, It also could resemble my now deceased nephew by marriage... a Smurf after taking a hot load of fentanyl 12 years ago.

It is a jab to make the market dip before the election.
You don't need a "conspiracy" when the media is a leftist herd.

AI companies spending "$14,000" to recover $200 from a subscription is misleading.
For one, where does this $14k cost come from? Is that just the cost of electricity from running the most tokens allowed? The cost of all equipment, facilities, and power divided by the max tokens that can be processed over a time period times the number of tokens allowed for an account?
As technology increases, these costs should come down.
For two, with all subscriptions, companies make the most money off of subscribers who don't use the service to its max.
If you look at a gym and a person who goes 5 days a week and uses every service, then it's easy to ask how the gym can stay profitable with a $20 membership. What you don't see are the 50 people who go once a week if at all.
All you can eat buffets lose money on some diners, but they are still profitable overall, too.
These numbers should be taken with a grain of salt.

Does anyone not believe that AI companies worried about funds isn't training AI's on how to make them some money??? Of course, this wouldn't be made public. The AI's have already shown themselves to be extremely self preservative. As with everything, we have zero idea of what's truly going on with their research.
