If this happened in Naperville, LaGrange, Barrington or Deerfield then there would be cries to ban all guns.
The police would actually do their jobs if any of those areas starting getting encroached

Well, it is in every one’s favor for the municipality’s or community’s tax base to be protected. Yeah no? No yes??

They call it “personal violence” now and any black politician or community organizer in Chicago will tell you they’re not concerned about it but are concerned about “white mass shooters”

Don't try to normalize this. It should be abhorrent to us all.

I have the solution: They need to make the whole city a "gun free" zone. Criminals follow rules.

By not including gang shootings in "mass shootings" statistics, the media are able to frame a narrative about mass shootings that removes a lot of minorities from the statistics since most of the gang mass shootings are by blacks and Hispanics
It really is amazing how this is done, you can show it to someone as proof, and they still insist this is honest.
Statistics don't lie, but liars use statistics.

You try hitting the target while holding the gun sideways.
Yes. You ever tried to shoot a .45 pointed sideways out the window of a 1998 Caprice Classic rolling on 24s? It’s not as easy as it looks.

Growing up, a mass shooting was when a person walked into their work or a grocery store and just started shooting randomly.
This stuff is low level urbane warfare between enemy combatants. These is not a mass shootings. Yet these people in the media keep trying to fool us and spin it.
You can’t hate the media enough.

Its been well documented that local law enforcement is not submitting data to the FBI.
What does this have to do with anything?
They've always posted their city-based data publicly. You could always go look it up even when that data wasn't being reported to the FBI.

So you are saying the Trump admin is doing work!
good boy!
No. The decrease started under Biden and as I said when we had these discussions in 2023, it would continue under Trump. Also, I made sure to note it had nothing to do with Biden and it will have nothing to do with Trump. The federal government has very limited ability to change Big Data in crime this way. There just aren't enough Federal resources and super majority of policing is done at the state, county, and local levels. The feds have very minimal impact because they simply do not have enough presence in day-to-day policing, especially for things like violent crime.
The funny thing is is that what I predicted in 2023 turnouts be absolutely true, but people thought that they somehow proved me wrong in 2023, and then I'm wrong today. It's one of those examples of cognitive sentence where people say that I'm always wrong when I've been proven right over multiple years.

Safe to assume the numbers from liberals aren’t accurate

The the numbers in OP aren't accurate, either. Those are sourced from city-based data, too. We should delete the thread with that "logic"

CHICAGO (AP) — A spate of shootings in Chicago has led to at least seven deaths and 38 injuries since Friday evening, police say, prompting President Donald Trump to renew his call for a military intervention in the nation's third-largest city.
This is actually good news. They're killing each other off.
Btw, these numbers are probably off. According to WGN there were 49 shot.
Happy Juneteenth y'all!

How do the number of shootings compare?
My guess is range time is the key here with the key number being near zero.

Ever wonder why the Democrats who constantly scream about gun control and who want to take away guns from law abiding citizens never, ever talk about gun violence in cities like Chicago?
Do you think the gun violence is a result of the gun control laws or do you think that the gun control laws are in response to the gun violence?

Between which points? I believe the post has 2024 and 2025, which are the most relevant points

Those points are fine but it would be interesting to see the numbers from the 60s forward.
Firearms have become more accurate over time. I wonder if the animals have been able to take advantage of it.
My guess is no because of poor mechanics, zero training, and zero range time.
It’s just a guess though.
