They are literally showcasing how corrupt the liberal courts are against their perceived political enemies.

It’s not even political enemies- ask any lawyer how bad it sucks to try a case with an elected Louisiana state judge.

It's a good thing that Ny care about a victimless crime where the "offended party" never claimed an issue w/ Trump and was made whole w/ loan payments.
My favorite part is MAL being valuation of 17.5 million

I'm not sure if that's how our justice system is intended to work.

I believe that's what we call grounds for Recusal of the Judge.

I would say he's going to have a very hard time not being convicted of the classified documents charge.

Hillary is infinitely more guilty of this than Trump. But I bet your weren’t arguing for her to be locked up.

I just googled a pic of Engoron..he should be on trial for growing that wild wavy pube job on top of his head..

Looks like Henry Winkler's grey doppelganger.

He could have drained the swamp like he promised and he wouldn’t be in this mess. Instead, he emboldened the state and its tyranny by doing things like funding the ATF and directing them “reinterpret” the law to ban bump stocks. Jesus said to forgive my brother 77 times (or 490 times) so I will forgive Trump and vote for him a third time, and he will probably win. I just hope he goes scorched earth this time.

Engoron, however, told the Trump attorneys, “This is not a political rally.”

Bitch, you have made it one.

Ummm…it actually does belong in our justice system - negative or adverse inference, look it up.

I know what he is talking about. Criminal contempt of court is not a option in a civil suit. The judge can refuse to let him testify and even kick him out of the court room but he cannot put him in the "slammer".

Why would criminal contempt not be on the table? Isn't that just about behavior during a proceeding?

In civil litigation in federal court, a witness’s invocation of the Fifth Amendment may give rise to an adverse inference “when independent evidence exists of the fact to which the party refuses to answer.” In the criminal context, no adverse inference is permitted from a witness’s refusal to testify based on the Fifth Amendment. In federal civil litigation, however, an adverse inference may be “drawn when independent evidence exists of the fact to which the party refuses to answer” — meaning that “an adverse inference can be drawn when silence is countered by independent evidence of the fact being questioned, but that same inference cannot be drawn when, for example, silence is the answer to an allegation contained in a complaint.” Doe ex rel. Rudy-Glanzer v. Glanzer, 232 F.3d 1258, 1264 (9th Cir. 2000) (internal citations omitted).

Except that here the judge is just talking about drawing a negative inference based on his displeasure with testimony, not independent evidence. I think the judge is screwed himself here - he should be formally admonished and removed. All he's doing is letting everyone know that this is, indeed, a kangaroo court.

Yep, the judge fcked his case because of his ego. Whatever he rules will be overturned if he even makes it that far. I agree that he could be removed.

First of all they did not bring a criminal charge because they knew they would lose. Second Trump will appeal and the lawsuit will go poof like a fart in the wind.

Then the condition I specified would not be met.

This is a civil trial where the Judge and DA determine the financial penalty. This is about breaking him financially.

Along with the several coordinated DOJ indictments. Yep.

That’s why Judge Cannons delay pisses of the left.

I loved when she asked if the DOJ had ever had multiple indictments timed simultaneously in several districts - and they had no answer.

Their law fare strategy is like shock and awe. Meant to overwhelm.

I might be woefully ignorant but what is this case based on? I heard it was about property value or some dumb shite?
What year is this based off of? I ask because they seem to come after Trump on a lot of stuff that’s close to or expired laws based off of statute of limitations.

This is what rubs me raw. Dems and libs don’t actually care about law… they’re just anti Trump. If he wasn’t running, they’d give 0 frickaroos.
