They'd better have a DAMN good reason, like overlooked allergy, drug interaction, or incorrect dosage. This falls into none of those categories.

It seems to me as though the hospital wanted to make a political statement at the expense of the doctor and the patient.

This is a huge overstep.

Regardless of your thoughts on Covid, vaccines and ivermectin, a judge has absolutely no business telling doctors and hospitals how to treat patients. NONE!!!

Reading comprehension clearly isn’t your strong suit I see.

Hospitals administrators have absolutely no business limiting treatment options or telling doctors how to treat patients.

See how that works?

And this is exactly what is wrong with western medicine. It's about money and not about health or safety.

If so, the ruling is less problematic IMO

They can but don’t. They tell us to just keep doing what we’re doing and if he hurts someone, they’ll address it.

Basically ironically protecting his admission privileges by refusing to let him do dumb stuff

Rural-ish medicine can be a struggle

Mark it down, this guy has been sick and on a ventilator for a good while and Ivermectin is being administered late and almost as a last resort. If he dies the hospital administration, hospital staff physicians, the CDC, and Dr. Fauci will all be triumphantly vindicated and this will be touted as a loud and clear call to slam the door on all alternative protocols. It’s shameful.

The problem I have with them not letting him take it is;
1) It's a cheap drug.
2) Even if it does not help it certainly will not hurt him.

So what's the big deal other than it being political. Why are all the liberal so against using Ivermectin? What harm does it do?

BTW there are people with cancer being treated with Ivermectin that have shown positive results from it.

Medical staff committee makes the rules concerning treatment.

Again, that is probably true. But not necessarily if he's incapable of swallowing it. E.g., d/t ventilatory interventions.

Also, why are they still intubating people?
Because their SpO2's are 70% and falling on BiPAP?

How many of you people comment on the article without reading the article?

This is why our country is so easy to trick.

Fair point
quote:

In the complaint, Julie stated that her husband had been on a ventilator for 19 days after attempts to use treatments like Remdesivir, plasma and steroids.

That's when she stated she sought medical advice from their physician Dr. Fred Wagshul. In the complaint, it states Wagshul supported the use of Ivermectin and prescribed it to him. After the hospital refused to administer the treatment, Julie filed the complaint.

I mean, are they going to allow him to die because they're afraid Ivermectin is going to kill him?
