LOL,
"Hey Judge, they think I am breaking the law. Can I get a restraining order against the police so they can't arrest me?"

Abbott can just ignore it. The state House has the authority to issue the order to go fetch them..they can be fetched. The moment their feet hit the floor, the quorum is established and they can go run away crying if they want.
What will the judge do? He can't arrest anyone...he can't do anything about this.
I understand BHP, in a correct and just world this would happen...but since when has this actually happened?
Look at some of this vote fraud in all these states, the CDC over-reach on landlords, the invasion in the border states...all these should be very easy to solve on paper and sure those in certain positions of power should be able to easily remedy this lawlessness BUT if the people in a position of power happen to be Republicans, don't hold your breathe on the rule of law being enforced.
I'd love to be wrong, but damn, at this point when do we ever see the politicians on the right throwing down, even when clearly warranted?

Good. Arrest them anyway.

1. Don't mess with Texas
2. Abbott and DeSantis (that's my governor crying gif here) are in a dick measuring situation [in a good way] and I KNOW Desantis would flip this judge the finger. So, Abbott will, too

Just ignore the jackass.

Judge, I know the past arrest order was illegal. But, Biden has shown, with his eviction moratorium, that a NEW order is fine"
"Judge...go frick yourself"

State District Judge Brad Urrutia, a Democrat, granted the temporary restraining order late Sunday night restricting Gov. Greg Abbott and House Speaker Dade Phelan from “detaining, confining or otherwise restricting” the free movement of House Democrats within the state or issuing any warrants ordering their confinement.
Step1: Have the speaker of the house issue warrants for their arrests.
Step2: Arrest the dems.
Step3: Establish quorum
Step4: Pass the voting reform bill.
Step5: Governor Abbot signs the bill into law
Step6: Governor Abbot pardons the speaker of the house.

This is dumb. There's a law that says they can. This douche can be easily ignored.

This needs to happen. Until the executive pushes back against these rogue judges, they aren't going to stop being douchebags.

A judge can't bring a charge. The AG of Texas just stares blankly at the judge as he throws a hissy fit.
There will be no "pardon" needed because the judge has no power. What..he will try a "contempt of court" thing? Good luch with a branch of the government acting in his capacity.
There is ZERO "risk" here at all

$10 says that the DA of Travis County tries to bring charges over this.
That may be enough to have the public corruption unit removed from Travis County if so.

State reps were prohibiting democracy which I’ve been told is an “INSURRECTION!”

Who gives a f*ck what some judge says. Until this limp GOPers get it, that we will never get anything done waiting for justice in the courts, we will continue to get our arses whipped.

A judge cannot bring a charge that is true. However, Jose Garza (D) who is the Travis County district attorney can. A pardon from the governor would protect the speaker of the house.

Can the judge be arrested as well for trying to interfere with the law?

Like I said, I’d love to be wrong but Abbott just seems to find his boundaries in the land of Happy Talk. Need to see some action!
