If I'm Pence, I'm going to actively work to make sure that the guy whose supporters were going around the Capitol saying "Hang Mike Pence" doesn't get to be dogcatcher. Loyalty is a two way street.

It is goint to be an unpopular opinion and I expect the down votes, but, if I were Pence, I would not endorse Trump either.
If I were him, I would vote for Trump because that is what is by far the best thing for the country, but Trump's vengence has gone too far when people don't show him what he believes is loyalty, irrespective of what laws and the Constitution might say. Trump can afford to put things ahead of laws, knowing it is highly unlikely he could be bankrupted via the court system - that is not a privilege that we all have even we might be on the right side of a jury. Trump has "F... You" money; most people do not.
