Best wishes and prayers!

Getting paid to go on the air and talk shite with one of my best buds would be an absolute monster of a job.

No, it's been going on for a while.

I did find this Vice article from earlier this year.

Walton was in college by 1970 or 1971 - so I put his birth year between 1948 and 1952 - so he is between 67 and 71. He's consistently referred to Trump as being "a little older" than he is.

I think Steve is more like a 1954 to 1956 birth year, so more likely 63 to 65 at this point, just based on things they referenced, pop culture and all that through the years.

Didn't Walton have cancer back in the day? Wonder if it has something to do with that.

I think your headline is misleading, and kindof pisses me off.

You may be right, but in the light of facts and speculation and guessing, your title is complete bullshite.

I hope the best for his recovery, which may or may not occur. As of June 4 however, you sir, are fake news.

I think that they became polarizing because of their lack of success. Walton more so than Johnson, came across as bitter that they weren’t more successful. They moved to Dallas, got beaten in the ratings battle, and came back to NO. When they were in Dallas, they used to trash Louisiana and it was humbling to have to return.

They broke up for a while and Walton teamed with Rick Rumble in the mid-90’s for a morning show. Supposedly, Johnson was tired of carrying the show and that led to the breakup. After that show was dropped, Walton did some A.M. radio fill-in work and eventually the two realized that it was in their best interest to get back together.

For whatever reason, they decided to put a heavy political spin on their show. Walton has been through a lot and I hope this illness passes.

Pop in and listen every now and then.

Listened this AM and noticed Johnson was on his own (the other guy was terrible). Was wondering if Walton had health issues (hell, the guy has to be in his 70s).

Sounds like.

Damned shame. Grew up with W & J.

Those guys have been dying a slow death since Obama was elected. They just got old and bitter and way less funny, causing ratings to decline and stations to drop them one-by-one.

Jesus, lighten the frick up. Now.

I started the thread before Ken and Johnson discussed it on the air. This pattern of missing shows and leaving early has been going on for weeks. Then, yesterday, Walton said "I'm dying" before talking about trying to buy baby blood to save himself.

And actually, you're wrong. It does still "seem like W&J are done." So it's a correct statement, from my point of view.

Go smoke a bowl or something.

I don't need to lighten the frick up. Your headline is literally the definition of speculation. And on a board that hates fake news, you are adding to it.

Are there signs pointing to a death / end-of-show? Yes, those signals do exist.

But your headline is ridiculous, and completely inaccurate given the KNOWN facts.

Wrong. They've been picking up stations for a while, especially in the last 2 years, and places where they were being cut off at 9 in favor of other shows, fan demand caused those stations to run the show until 10.

Yeah, again, seriously, lighten the frick up.
