Oil workers used to making $XX/hr. Millions of immigrants willing to do it for $X/hr. Who's getting a job making solar panels? But remember, they're only taking those $X/hr jobs because Americans don't want them.

This guy is the biggest piece of shite. He thinks average oil and gas as workers are idiots and is basically telling them so. Does he expect anyone to believe someone that has made a career in the oil industry climbing the ladder to just seamlessly make the switch to solar making the same amount of money? I wish someone would tell him he’s got to change careers at his age and that everything will work out for the better and see what he says. Idiot.

Definitely pro-choice.

If we made and used enough solar panels to run our entire country off of solar energy, it would be far worse for the environment than using oil and gas ever could possibly be.

Puzzled ....exactly what jobs are specialized pipe welders making $100,000 a year qualified for in a solar panel factory that doesn't exist?

The facilities to manufacture do not exist ....the technical knowledge doesn't exist...

The only thing possible, requiring welding is on the distribution transformers and those are made in three factories in the US at the present time. No one is making a transformer in the field.

Better choices?

He listed one choice and that choice is building a product that will be outsourced to overseas production because we don't make things in this country anymore.

He may as well have told them to learn to code.

Yes, I'm sure thousands of people who just lost their jobs have been waiting for John Kerry's explanation on why they are mistaken for being upset about losing their jobs and this will make everything completely better for them.

Bravo, John. It's not easy for a man worth 250 million dollars to provide such comfort for these misguided people who are upset about losing their jobs during a pandemic.

He is an arrogant prick .... Best that can be said of him.

Stories about him abound.

Long line at Starbucks on the island ....he barges to the front of the line announcing "Official Business!" then orders and leaves. Someone should have punched him in the mouth.

A young boy was sitting on the sidewalk with his dog. The dog laying on the sidewalk, not blocking anything. Kerry approaches and announces, "Get this damned dog out my way." Someone should have said "Walk around the dog, stupid s$it"

I officiated with a crew where every member was on a riverboat crew during Viet Nam. The longest tour was four months ...Everyone wounded between arrival and the four months, two boats, they were the only survivors ...I appreciate that. I've seen the wounds and scars. When asked what they felt about Kerry tossing his medals One responded "Give me ten minutes alone with him .....He won't be tossing medals buried six feet under."

And those market forces are???

I guess the great new technology and techniques that are being used in the oil/gas industry that are safe and environmentally friendly that have made us energy independent and the lowest fuel prices in years? Wait no, that wouldn't be the forces he is looking for.
