And after 10 years of nothing but Trump and MAGA jokes, that’s what gets him fired. Karma

This confirms that this wasn't about what he said. They were looking for an escape route. I think Nextstar and the FCC colluded with the network on this one. That's just how I see it.
Meanwhile thousands of people across the country are getting fired for similar stunts.
Maybe it’s just that we all have democrat fatigue?

The local advertisers in Middle America—businesses we patronize, businesses we own, in thousands of towns and villages all across the fruited plain—told the local stations that they either take Kimmel off the air, or they could find new advertisers.
/\ THIS /\ is the bottom line on all this - Disney was trying to sell off their interest & it would have deflated its value if they kept him on with the loss of those advertisers.
IF he had any $$ value to them, they wouldn't give a shite about the gaff - hell they probably cheered along with him. He was just a washed up has-been not-funny 'comedian'

Dude has to be in complete shock. He had that show for 24 years and it's gone overnight. Poof.
I read he is big mad.

lol no. Gutfield isn’t inciting violence and mocking political assassinations nor is he perpetuating lies.

Because his alligator mouth overloaded his mockingbird arse. He thought he was untouchable.
The studio gave him an opportunity to make things right and apologize....and he chose to double down.
He is headed down the Stephen King, Howard Stern, David Letterman highway....bitter, old lesbians.

I wonder what they will do with all of those unsold cases of Jimmy Kimmel autographed photos from "The Man Show".

I'm genuinely surprised they found available rental trucks to move all that gear.

Because... ?
FOX doesn't like his #1 rated show?
He's not lying or mocking the brutal assassination of a man whose crime was to get folks to sit down and talk?
Tell the board you've no clue of what you're talking about without saying you've no clue of what you're talking about.

And we must keep reminding folks:
This play is to weaponize the changing market. Colbert is gone because his show lost money. Kimmel is going because his show has been losing money. The View is going to go because they're awful. Disney, ideologically, has supported the latter 2 for too long as it is. The business model is effectively dead.
They are using the controversy to pull the trigger (a business decision) now (timing is everything) so they can spin it as censorship and against Trump.

Well played by all involved
Disney/ABC gets rid of an underperforming product while pretending to be "unbiased"
Kimmel avoids the embarrassment of being cancelled in a year (like Colbert) and gets to become a leftist martyr that will get him more work than he would have gotten had he just been cancelled as a matter of course.
Conservatives get to celebrate collecting a scalp
Everyone leaves believing they are the "winner"!

It was always a matter of time for these late night shows. Doesnt shock me the left has decided to turn something that was already going to happen into a major drama. They're always performing off of a script.
