I’m trying to understand the premise of the thread which is that he can’t be a white nationalist because he is Jewish. Doesn’t make sense. Any insight?

I'm surprised; I would think that Omar's (and others) actions would drive them away. My duplicate bridge partner in Richmond, VA was Jewish, but we never talked religion.

Jews who go to synagogue regularly will be upset and gravitate towards the Republican Party. But they are likely already there. Jews who never go to synagogue an/or only very occasionally are not likely to be swayed by Omar's comments as they are FAR more Democratic (in fact this may be their true religious identity if they are Progressives/Leftists) than they are Jewish in any religious sense.
