Highly entertaining is a weird reaction.

Typical leftist abuse of language using Motte and Bailey logic.

Precisely define:

Immigrant
Refugee
Asylum seeker
Foreign invasion
Citizenship
Visitor
Mass migration

Does citizenship still matter in the U.S.?

Is the U.S. a nation founded on an idea and a political philosophy of liberal representative democracy versus ethnicity or tribal identification?

Does the U.S. have a robust welfare system for CITIZENS that is easily abused and overwhelmed by illegal immigrants?

Does the U.S. have a very generous policy of protection for ACTUAL asylum seekers?

Was the Holy Family legitimate asylum seekers or part of a mass migration to an overwhelmed and overly-generous welfare state?

Was Joseph a skilled laborer who survived by providing value to his new community, or was he an unskilled laborer who relied on handouts from his new (and temporary) home nation?

Would ancient tribal and ethnic nations have tolerated mass migration into their lands?

Does the United States already have by far the largest amount of legal immigration of any nation?

This commercial in defense of illegal immigration forgets that, in the story, Jesus and his family went back to where they came from.

Exactly. Are we supposed to start a cross manufacturing company to help them sacrifice themselves to save us from our sins as well? Please let me know. I have acres and acres of cypress.

We’re talking about Jesus.

That’s the topic.

Jesus was a clever guy.

Actually, his name was Joshua. I've been delving into ancient language texts and it just kept getting miss translated into Jesus.

BTW, Lucifer was never the devil. It meant 'One who sees clearly.' We have a word now 'lucid.'
The name was from a biblical writer who hated another guy named Lucifer and so he used it for the devil. And it stuck.

Are you actually trying to claim that the millions of illegals walking across our open border are political refugees? Is that really your stance? Holy shite.
Where did I say that?

Where did the ad in question say anything more than the fact that His family were refugees?

I love the projection.

I always felt satan was just the natural desires of man, which dog him and cause emotional and spiritual separation.

Been reading some gnostic stuff, its interesting.

"Herod the Great was a Dem."

THAT is a new one. Points for originality.

Or Yeshua.

Hard to know for sure, since His name was first written in Greek, which had a completely different set of sounds and written letters from Aramaic.

Greek speakers were trying to write a name comprised of some sounds not found in their language, using letters which did not correspond to those sounds.

Rather like trying to write "manana" from Spanish, in English. We don't have the "enye" sound (first "n," pronounced like a combination of "n" and "y"), and we don't have a letter to WRITE that sound.

There’s no J in Hebrew. So his name wasn’t Joshua.

It's intellectual slap downs like this that keep me coming back to this board.

Sorry that was a little snarky.

I guess I just didn’t understand what you meant with your comment about topic. I’ll hang up and listen.

Starting to see “Jesus was a refugee” bumper stickers now. It’s nauseating.

All good. My pithiness might have been mistaken for being combative

Yeah I meant I was just agreeing with your earlier comment about people picking and choosing. It always depends on what narrative they're trying to put His name on. We see similar stuff nowadays RE: MLK. Depending on who you talk to, the man gets portrayed as either a far-leftist or a dyed-in-the-wool right winger
