The add was great and right in line with the Gospels

Then you should have no problem in showing everyone how it lines up with Christ’s purpose for washing the feet of the disciples, or Mary Magdalene washing Christ’s feet with her tears and hair for forgiving her of her many sins.

The truth is, it does no line up with it at all, besides it not even being the point behind the washing of feet, but also because the focus is on people and their good deeds, and not on Christ who is the author of good, and the forgiveness of our sins.
THAT is indeed what is truly pharisaical, the doing of works to gain self righteousness instead of looking to Christ for our righteousness, and forgiveness.

I mean say that directly, “you’re a piece of shite”. I guess it works for some people, but I feel like people in bad places don’t tend to respond to that super well.

I feel like when friends of mine are struggling, it’s easiest to help them by showing them where it’s impacting their family and the people around them, but also letting them know that just because they’ve been struggling it doesn’t mean things are over. People can change and redemption can be possible.

Let's be honest, Christians today are not doing a good job at instilling their beliefs into the crooked masses.

Because they are ignoring the Word to accommodate sin

You poor, dumb, bastard.

I’m atheist, but even I know that the Jesus character resonates because of his love and acceptance. Your denial of those values is unchristian.

Nope.

Jesus isn't your "buddy".

He demands you take responsibility for your sin, he doesn't say "yo, brah, all good!" and encourage you to continue your shitty behavior.

I've read somewhere that Soros money is behind those commercials

Incorrect. I for sure have my criticisms of the strategy and execution here. But this is financed by a group of businessmen who also finance Alliance Defending Freedom group which is all up in defending religious liberty such as Christian Cake Bakers. It is a far cry from a bunch of leftists. I think the motives here are relatively pure, but in my opinion the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

You leave out his rebuke, which was a large part of his ministry.

Theres nothing wrong with a hand up. But youre a chump if you keep giving after that.

I'll give a begger five or ten dollars, once. Not twice.

You do realize that Jesus was criticized in his time for sitting down and breaking bread with sinners....and tax collectors. Matthew comes to mind.

True, but transformation is seldom immediate and is a process. So Jesus regularly found himself in the company of sinners. He who is without sin, cast the stone. He worked miracles on behalf of sinners with the admonishment of sin no more....but those miracles were part of God's Grace. Man is a flawed being, you will sin, you will always be in a position where you may sin.

.....well, we don't have an admonishment against eating pork.

It is tasty, though.

Christianity is the only religion that is OK to attack outside of a South Park episode

Imagine a commercial showing Muhammad or calling out Jews.

The media, and especially the news media, is largely Jewish owned. And Jews have always disliked Christianity.

Amazing. This board is melting because of a pro-Christian Super Bowl ad paid for by Bible-thumping conservatives.

Is it opposite day?

Christian’s are the most persecuted group of people in the entire world

Certainly not in the United States. If your evidence of this is multiple Christian commercials on the highest rated televized event of the year you aren't making the point you think they're making.
