You may want to take this up with GumboPot and a few others in this very thread who continue to say otherwise and that they just mistakenly forgot to be out there this one time.

I don't care what they said. LSU has a pregame routine that they stick to. If you've ever been around top tier coaching, these are the kinds of things that are followed down to the second. It is part of the process. It has nothing to do with the national anthem.

Please explain how. Do you say the pledge of allegiance every morning before brushing your teeth?

It was just a timing mistake by LSU. They did not intentionally miss the anthem.

This isn't the case. The team has been staying in the locker room all season during the National Anthem.

Two time first team all american, unanimous all american, national champion, and NCAA tourney MOP is an awfully long 15 minutes. Crazy that she "believed her own hype" with those minuscule accomplishments.

Seriously, do you have any idea what you're talking about? Or do you just want to wallow in anger because.... democrats?

Come see us in 2 years and let me know how famous she still is. Nobody outside of LSU fans and parents care about this team, and the same applies to every other women's basketball team in this country. I did not disparage her accomplishments, which you clearly somehow think I did. I am calling out her self righteousness and lack of humbleness that are on full display with such ridiculous statements that were made by her and her teammates.

I bet you did not pay much attention to lady bball prior to them winning last year. You will try and say you did, but we all know that you and most other fans didn't. You just loved the moment of the final victory. I'm quite sure you didn't watch many games if any during that season. Fake fandom is real

Unconstitutional Jeffrey. You can not force speech or worship. If CKM does not allow her team to be on the court for the National Anthem, that is her perogative.

I promise you Landry, you political POS, CKM is far more patriotic than you are.

Alot of teams have pregame scripts that don’t coincide with entertainment script. If you wanted both teams on the court, should’ve had anthem at 0.00.

Of course he has. It's just the battle of the day in his never ending culture war.

What he hasn't been to though is a trial, which is hilarious and extremely on brand for LA politics.

The elected (former) attorney general has never tried a case.

If he did, he wasn’t paying attention or still kicking it at his trial lawyer buddies’ tailgate.

How about we just continue playing the national anthem at sporting events while also bowing in prayer?

Oh no, no, no, we can only worship the flag and not have a moment of silence for personal prayer.

Wait a minute. Are you actually equating abstaining from participation in the national anthem at a ballgame in which the audience and other team are indeed participating to not saying it every morning when brushing your teeth? How intellectually dishonest can you possibly be? Wow you really are going soft in the paint, baw

Threatening to take away scholarships for not being present during the national anthem? Seems pretty fascist to me

We want a united populous, but we can't even unite for the flag. 90 percent the people don't even know why they are protesting. They have seen athletes do it and so they blindly follow.

We need someone to lead by example -- a good example.

I'm not some champion of women's athletics, but this is objectively incorrect. Viewership is at an all time high, and Angel Reese will be remembered. She is an athlete doing what athletes do. They hype themselves up. They et emotional after spending their entire lives working toward a goal. Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird. All gigantic assholes on the court who are anything but humble.

Look man, I'm a 2 time LSU alumni. Women's basketball is about 4th on my list of LSU sports I care about, but I was going to the elite 8 in the arena in 2008 watching Sylvia Fowls play for LSU. Do I watch every game? No. But, I've loosely followed the program for 20 years and I enjoy watching them win. I'm just pointing out that stupidity in your statements.

Need each venue to use a cell phone blocker to start just prior to and after NA. Then need any TV station covering game to not cover NA.

This gives no one ability to make a statement.

Some say they respect the rights of people to protest during NA. frick that shite. Every time you give the commie leftists an inch they are going to take a mile. Give them nothing.

I gave 20 years of my life for this country and seen how shitty it is in other countries.

It should be required you stand at attention if in the immediate venue. Don’t want to then wait outside. I have no wiggle room for traitors, it’s 1.5 minutes of your day.
