Breaking news - 22 year old feels immense pressure after entering the national spotlight overnight.
In her world (NCAA Women's basketball) Angel Reese has basically reached the top of the mountain. National champion and MOP of the tournament. None of what Johnson or Reese said is incorrect or even hyperbole.
The crying over this is pathetic.

He needs to give his buddies another big raise and ignore education/insurance.
quote:I'll agree here. One positive thing he's done is set up the LASP in New Orleans and reach an agreement with Williams for prosecution assistance. I just hope they actually enforce their policies and don't just do it for show.
Only positive thing so far is his stance on crime.

That emotion this year spilled over into LSU missing the anthem by mistake.
LSU fans are funny. Half of you say they never are on the court for the anthem while the other half are saying it was a mistake. Well, which is it? And how are either of these two acceptable?

They are NEVER on the court during the national anthem at home games.

Is this really an issue?
It shouldn’t be. The LSU football team nor the visiting team is ever on the field for the playing for the anthem. Are we going to have to change the entire Tiger Stadium pregame to suite the Governor’s idiotic suggestion?

LSU typically goes through pregame warmups, then goes into the locker rooms to use the bathroom, change tampons, whatever, the anthem is played and then they start the game.
That's all. There was no protest. This is not a conspiracy to cause controversy or hurt people's feelings.

Also, if any of you think Kim Mulkey would allow her players to intentionally show disrespect to America/the troops/whatever, you're out of your minds

then comes back out for the anthem and after the anthem they start the game.
you and lsursb are at complete odds with this one. It's hilarious how yall keep jumping through hoops to explain this away yet can't seem to get your stories straight. Lost in it all is that neither of these two options are ok; they both are incredibly disrespectful.

See, I didn't know this. I'm not even paying attention.
This is so dumb.

Didn't Kim start this at Baylor so that players like Griner would not kneel?

Well, go be mad about it I guess.
There is nothing I really can do.

You may want to take this up with GumboPot and a few others in this very thread who continue to say otherwise and that they just mistakenly forgot to be out there this one time.

Not being on the court with the audience and other team standing for the national anthem is indeed disrespectful.

would you rather them kneel and disrespect the anthem, or for them not to be on the court at all?
If this is the reasons to not be on the court at all, that's just sad! Especially when college players are making thousands and in some cases millions of NIL $ in a free-market society that people have died to preserve.
If any athlete kneels during the anthem, then we know who the turds are!

LSU football is in the locker room during the anthem. Is he going to want all 85 scholarships pulled?

quote:Two time first team all american, unanimous all american, national champion, and NCAA tourney MOP is an awfully long 15 minutes. Crazy that she "believed her own hype" with those minuscule accomplishments.
Self righteousness on full display. She believed her own hype after her 15 minutes last season but doesn't realize nobody cares about her and her sport outside of her parents and LSU fans who will forget about her once she is gone and forget about this team once they are not a champion anymore.
Seriously, do you have any idea what you're talking about? Or do you just want to wallow in anger because.... democrats?

I just mentioned my last post that I do not pay attention to pregame routines for WBB. (Nor do I pay attention to pregame routines for any sport).

I suggest you never post on these boards again if you stand by your statement here, because you are constantly on here complaining and being mad about what's going on in the world. I mean, it is the purpose of these forums. Now you're just being a hypocrite.
You just can't set your fandom aside in order to be consistently critical. Any other team/players do this and you're quick to this board to call them out. LSU does it and you're running the spin. Homerism is real.
