If that’s your idea of diversity you have a lot to learn. Diversity is 8 women, 2 trans women m, 1 non binary and 1 furry.

I was trying to keep it simple for those keeping score at home.

Guys…pretty sure the use of the word “diverse” here was meant for experience and expertise. Not minority/women.

This quote gave it away.
quote:

“He needs to have people who have knowledge and experience of what they’re doing,” Ryder said. “Some [of the people Landry has to hire] will be working in areas he knows little about.”

The author of this article either didn’t understand or deliberately sent out the woke bat signal to drive clicks.

Read the hand wringing in the article. I also know their hiring plans.

This board is insufferable at times. Landry’s election was a big win for conservatives. Enjoy it.

Landry is hiring conservatives to staff his new administration. That’s as specific as I can be. It’s a huge improvement over the woke democrats and corrupt democrats JBE hired.

UL Lafayette is also convenient for Landry, who lives just 15 minutes down the road in Broussard. The school is also Landry’s alma mater.

This is the key thing in this article. It makes sense and he should throw a bone at his Alma Mater. Rest of the story is bullshite IMO.

So far it’s only a transition team that will be disbanded in January. No other hires have/can be made at this time.

So you’ve got nothing, nice.

At the end of the day, it’s going to be the same old same old…

People in Louisiana don’t want good government… They want “pretty good” government…

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Rispone had never run for office, but he beat Abraham who never mustered enough resources to reach people state wide.

It does seem to be their "go to" statement when it comes to any republican.
