Jared Kushner pushes back on Trump’s immigration ban

The White House is currently facing an internal battle over President Trump’s announcement Monday night that he will sign an executive order temporarily halting immigration amid the coronavirus outbreak. The details of the order had not been finalized as of Tuesday morning, causing frantic debate over which groups of immigrants will be exempt from the ban.

However, some members of the administration were angry that the president announced the ban on Twitter. They immediately began scrambling to take control over the details.
Sources familiar with the situation told The Spectator that the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is one of the loudest voices pushing back on a full ban and is seeking to carve out exemptions for refugees, temporary workers under the H1B visa program, and farmworkers under the H-2A visa program. These provisions, one source warned, would defeat the purpose of protecting Americans unemployed due to the COVID crisis. The New York Times, however, reported that the president intends to announce Tuesday evening that he will only temporarily halt the issuance of green cards, hardly the sweeping halt advocates were pushing for.

Jared and Ivanka’s liberal asses needs to stick to their pet projects that has legit bipartisan support and stay away from the signature issue that got Donald Trump elected President.
Javanka need to go back to New York or at least shipped out of the west wing to a department of their choice that’s not DHS, state or DOJ.
Trump has had a problem the law few years surrounding himself with GOPe hacks that blow smoke up his arse while stopping the immigration agenda he ran on in 2016. His current DHS secretary is one such example.
Also for some strange reason, Stephen Miller has been outright hostile to other immigration hawks in the admin and does everything he can to push them out.

Jared will learn a difficult lesson on who the alpha of the family is.

They don't want to get an ear-full at New York cocktail parties.
This reminds me of Bill Gates' daughter being mad she couldn't get an I-Phone.
Know who got you where you are and fricking get on board.

frickKKKKK
if trump back peddles on this he is truly a fricking idiot.
The total immigration ban was a perfect play. Because the disguise under these current conditions would be widely supported. It would also pit progressives in a corner.
frick this is absolutely infuriating if he back peddles.

Why does anyone think we’re in a situation to take immigrants right now, or any other country?

Cmon Sentrius, you’re better than this.

Jared needs to get the frick out of the way. He is like when they show a picture of a drunk arrested on the nightly news and the guy just looks like a drunk. Except in Jared's case, he looks like a slimy fricklord.

Have we learned nothing?
Have we not seen the charges of “internal unrest” come and go enough for us to ignore this stuff for good?

yeah, not sure I believe these "sources who are familiar with the situation". Far as I am concerned, the sources could be the reporters car pool buddy.

it was also news the other day that Trump thought COVID 19 was being milked too much and Jared talked him into how dangerous it was.
this is probably fake news but who cares really?

Sorry, the media had lost all credibility. This story may be true or not true so unless someone goes on the record, I’m going to lean towards not true

Come on, people. How many times have we read this phrase over the last three years and how many times has the story turned out to be complete bullshite?
This is the media trying to drive a wedge between Trump and Kushner just like they tried to drive a wedge between Trump and Fauci.

I guess we are going to find out this evening if it’s fake or not.
If trump ends up partially halting green cards I’m officially not casting a ballot for him.
This was the perfect fricking chance to curb immigration especially illegal immigration and if he back peddles its one of his dumbest decisions as president.

Spectator is a conservative leaning site and the reporter who wrote this is a conservative as well.
Conservative journalism is actually a thing you know? However, that doesn’t mean carrying water for the admin all the time.
Also, it’s Jared and he’s liberal who loves to rub elbows with democrat influencers and politicians so you have to trust but verify with him and Ivanka as well.
Ivanka sounded like a democrat at the GOP convention in 2016.
