Remember when Democrats thought Gitmo was a war crime? Now we’re doing worse to our own citizens if this is true. Democrats: not a peep.

Compare this to the activists who scream bloody murder that death row inmates at Angola don’t have air conditioning, just loud fans. They claim that’s cruel and unusual punishment while folks have been held without bail and without trial for almost a year while being subjected to torture, beatings, threats to their families, solitary confinement, and chemical attacks while being denied access to lawyers, exculpatory evidence, and as a day in court to pleas their innocence.

This is just as bad, if not worse than most 3rd world crap.

Yeah, well more often than not even murder suspects get a bond. They can range from relatively low ($100,000ish) to pretty high ($1+ million).
In Harris county most are released ROR these days. Illegals are often simply released.

Which I can tell you also wreaks havoc on the court system as well, because as bad it may be, the motivation for many people to plead guilty to something is to get out of jail. But when they're already out on bond or ROR.....they're not very amenable to pleading to anything. Damn sure not if it actually involves checking INTO jail to serve some time. Which who can blame them. And not to minimize the ones who have legit cases that need to be tried for various reasons.

Anyhow, the net effect is nasty, swollen court dockets and public defenders with even more serious substance abuse problems than normal. Lol just joshin about that last thing. Maybe.

Or maybe, and I know this is going to sound crazy, some people on that day really did have something terrible planned, and they are the ones still in custody. Maybe they didn’t lock up every person who “just walked in a building” like you all want to have happened. MAYBE, the people still locked up deserve to be there. Crazy, I know.

Surely you can link us to some of the charges that would be serious enough to warrant denying bail, much less suspending a citizen’s rights?

Or perhaps your “maybe’s” are just your own compensating mechanism for squaring your morals with a reality that you would otherwise have to reject.

You won't get that from whom you're asking I'm sure. But I'll be happy to throw in:

^^Cases of relatively significant domestic violence wherein the perp, if out of jail, is an ongoing threat to victim.

^^Particularly notorious crimes of violence, certainly those of murder and rape. But again, would have to be quite heinous in nature, and perp is shown to pose an ongoing threat to society.

^^Legitimate flight risks, and by flight I mean out of country.

**None of which are even close to the case(s) at hand.

The last guy I saw a thread on, Ryan Samsel, had a warrant for rape and break ins and was still on parole for other domestic violence when he participated in 1/6. I am sure more than a handful of these losers have similar records.

I did fail to add another category, and thanks for pointing it out - in more cases than not, an offender on parole OR probation at the time any new relatively significant felony offense is committed (even non-violent offenses), it's generally accepted that they are held without bond. And I've got no problem with that.

The fact that this prison is in the heart of DC... ironic and deeply disappointing at the same time.

You should have allerted in you post that your ultimate source was Marjorie Taylor Greene so that any semi-intelligent readers could have skipped this post.

Bruh, first of all, the article paints the picture of more of a gassing than a mere spraying. That shite got coated all up in them ducts and a constant fan basically aerosoled, if I may, the tainted air. And they couldn't be let out for some fresher air because the lady ran for the hills with the damn keys. Hitting somebody in the face with a couple few bursts is one thing, replacing "clean" air with pepper spray air is another. I don't doubt it was a "toxic atmosphere".

Second, refer back to the first. I ran out of things to say.
