That frickin' guy started off by saying this..
"I'm sure this will piss off both the right and the left".
Nothing about that shite pisses off the left nowadays.

Worldwide inventory of nearly everything is being depleted. We need to become self sufficient again instead of relying on China to supply our goods. But, apparently I only have that view because Chinese people are not white enough.

Blacks didn't move to the north to work in cotton fields.

He has a good point buried underneath 100 lbs of woke bullshite. The key variable isn't even listed in OP (or the tweet itself). It's the "rural" aspect of this. Not white. Not male. Rural.
This whole pitch to return lower-level manufacturing to the rural areas of the US is basically a redistribution plan to support rural populations (Who, coincidentally, are political supporters of the people who promote these policies). Everyone will pay more for goods to subsidize the standard of living of rural areas. This is just a redistribution from our real economic powerhouses (cities) to rural areas.

People like this guy trying to find racism in everything are the worst. It’s like he doesn’t understand who offshoring hurts the most.
My hometown is over 70% black. At one point, it was a thriving little town. It’s now mostly dead.
What does manufacturing provide?
When I was a kid…
There were 2 lumber mills, a plywood factory, textiles plant, machine company, a rail yard, and other things.
We had clothing stores, a toy store, a chain restaurant, a handful of local restaurants, 3 hardware stores, 4 grocery stores, and more. Families lived there for generations. My grandad was friends with my friends’ grandads.
After the 90s? All those plants closed. All those stores closed. Dollar stores came. Social service offices open and expand. Families that have been there for 100+ years send their kids away.
Manufacturing isn’t always billionaire tycoons. It isn’t just in big cities. It doesn’t just benefit white people.
It is absurd that we ever allowed so many things to disappear. I wish Ross Perot had been elected.

We developed as a society and economically. It's why we still are the best economy in the world.
The problem is that this development requires intelligence and education, and it naturally creates conglomeration in urban areas.
This isn't some master plot (on both ends. It's not racist and it's not "globalist").

I'm loving the low prices we have right now after we outsourced everything.

Cities produce very little. They just move money from one place to another.
The actual production is done in rural areas.

The only reason why our economy is still the best is because of the military. Other than that, it's all artificial monopoly money. Our economy is a joke, and not self sustainable at this point. This is what this conflict in Ukraine is really about.
By the way, have you seen the military recruiting numbers lately?

Someone watched Commanding Heights too many times and is still lapping it up.
I love your “oh no, things will be more expensive” routine too.
frick, y’all need to update the script. It’s boring and trite as shite.

Exactly. Preventing Europe from pursuing their own self interest in regards to Russia. We want them under our boot and will economically destroy them and literally freeze them to do it.
America is the new Bolshevik state.

Are you thinking in terms of tactile only?
Do you know how many factories you'd have to create to compete with Apple? Google? Facebook?

Major drivers of our economy go well beyond IB.

No economy is self sustainable in the world.
The US has always had to engage in trade to form a complete economy.

So things won't be more expensive if we move the production from low-cost areas to American-cost areas?

What? I mean WHAT?
The biggest issue for this whole conflict is integrating Ukraine into the EU. Russia shite its pants when this became a reality and has engaged in subterfuge for 10+ years to thwart this association.
What in the ever living frick are you talking about?
